Notice to Mariners.—No. 34 of 1921.
CAPE MARIA VAN DIEMEN.—PANDORA BANK.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 26th July, 1921.
IT has been reported from Cape Maria Van Diemen Light-house that in heavy weather the Pandora Bank breaks about two miles nearer to the lighthouse, and about four miles further to the south-east.
As the contour of the bank, and the depths, may have undergone recent change, it is advisable that in heavy weather all vessels, when rounding Cape Maria Van Diemen, should pass outside Pandora Bank. Vessels of moderate draught, if using the passage between the bank and the cape, should do so in fair weather only.
Charts, &c., affected.—Admiralty Charts Nos. 2525 and 1212; “New Zealand Pilot,” ninth edition, page 42.
B. W. MILLIER, for Secretary.
Notice to Mariners.—No. 35 of 1921.

The following publications are affected: Admiralty Charts Nos. 3500, 2527, and 1212; “New Zealand Pilot,” ninth edition, page 255; “New Zealand Nautical Almanac,” 1921, pages 405 and 406.
