along the southern boundaries of Sections 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15,
17, and 19, Omaka, along the western boundary of the
last-named section to a public road; thence westerly along
that road and northerly along a road forming the western
frontage to Section 61, Omaka, westerly along a road forming
the northern frontage of Section 62 and its continuation
to the north-western corner of Section 163; thence northerly
along a public road to a point twenty chains distant from
the right bank of the Opawa River; thence along a line
parallel to and distant twenty chains from the said right
bank till it intersects the southern boundary of Section 172,
Omaka; thence along the southern boundaries of that
section and Section 1, Block XVI, Onamalutu Survey District,
to the Waihopai River; thence down that river to its junction
with the Wairau River, the point of commencement, excluding
therefrom Sections 84, 85, 86, and 116, Waitohi Valley.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 28th day of June, 1921.

Abolishing the Pukaka River Drainage District, County of Marlborough.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of
June, 1921.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made under the Land
Drainage Act, 1893, dated the seventeenth day of
January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, and
gazetted on the twenty-fifth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-four, the Pukaka River Drainage
District was constituted a drainage district under the said
Act :

And whereas a petition signed by a majority of the
ratepayers in the said drainage district has been presented
to the Governor-General praying that the said district may
be abolished :

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the said petition :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority contained in the Land Drainage Act,
1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish
the said Pukaka River Drainage District as on and from the
thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-one.

of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and
gazetted on the seventh day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen, the Wairau Maori Drainage District
was constituted a drainage district under the said Act :

And whereas a petition signed by a majority of the rate-
payers in the said drainage district has been presented to
the Governor-General praying that the said district may be
abolished :

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the said
petition :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise

Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent

Arrangements for First Election, &c., Ostend Road District.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 29th June, 1921.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to appoint

WILLIAM WALLACE BRUCE, of Auckland,

to be Returning Officer and the person to prepare the roll of
ratepayers for the purposes of the first election of the seven
members of the Board of the Ostend Road District as con-
stituted under section 11 of the Reserves and other Lands
Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1919, as amended
by section 86 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and
Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1920 ; also to appoint Tues-
day, the 19th day of July, 1921, to be the day, and the office
of Mr. W. W. Bruce, Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Williamsonโ€™s Chambers,
Shortland Street, Auckland, to be the place, at which such
first election shall be held ; also to appoint Friday, the 22nd
day of July, 1921, at 2 oโ€™clock in the afternoon, to be the
time, and the aforesaid office of Mr. W. W. Bruce to be the
place, at which the first meeting of the members of the Board
so elected shall be held.
