THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 56

Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the
purpose of reforming, grading, and metalling the Toitoi
Road, the said Inglewood County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 4/5ths of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property of the Toitoi Road
No. 3 Special Rating Area, comprising Section 1, containing
517 acres, Block XV, Waitara S.D. ; Sections 8 and 9, con-
taining 626 acres, Sections 10 and 14, containing 364 acres,
and part of Section 5, containing 20 acres, Block III, Huiroa
S.D. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CHEMISTS DEFENCE ASSOCIATION (INCORPORATED).
VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP.

NOTICE is hereby given that at general meetings of the
Chemists Defence Association (Incorporated) held on
13th December, 1920, and on 3rd February, 1921, the follow-
ing resolutions were carried :—

“That this general meeting resolves that the association
shall be voluntarily wound up in terms of section 24 of the
Incorporated Societies Act, 1908, and subsequently registered
under the Companies Act, 1908, subject to confirmation at
the next general meeting.

“That this general meeting of the Chemists Defence
Association confirms the resolution passed at the last general
meeting to the effect that this association shall be voluntarily
wound up in terms of section 24 of the Incorporated Societies
Act, 1908, and subsequently registered under the Companies
Act, 1908.”

Also at a meeting held on 1st June, 1921 :—

“That all the funds and assets of every description now
belonging to the Chemists Defence Association (Incorporated),
as shown by Liquidator’s statement to date 31st May, 1921,
be transferred to the Chemists Defence Association of New
Zealand (Limited), and that the Chemists Defence Associa-
tion (Incorporated) be wound up as from that date.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between CHARLES CHAMBERS and JAMES
PETTIE, carrying on business at Auckland as Bakers, Pastry-
cooks, Caterers, and Dining-room Proprietors, under the style
or firm of “John Buchanan,” has been dissolved as from the
first day of June, 1921, so far as concerns the said James
Pettie, who retires from the said firm. All debts due to and
owing by the said late firm will be received and paid
respectively by the said CHARLES CHAMBERS, who will carry
on the said business as heretofore under the style or firm of
“John Buchanan.”

Univ. N.Z., 1920, now residing in Wellington, hereby
give notice that I intend applying on the 17th July next to
have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Do-
minion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the
evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar
of Births and Deaths at Wellington.
