Notice to Mariners.—No. 27 of 1921.

FOXTON HARBOUR.—DREDGER WORKING OFF WHARF.

Wellington, 14th June, 1921.

THE Foxton Harbour Board notifies that the dredger “Hennessey” is now engaged in working off the Foxton Wharf, and for a distance of 530 fathoms seawards therefrom.

The dredger has six moorings laid out cardinally.

Masters of vessels are warned to exercise care when navigating in the vicinity of the dredger.

The following publications are effected: Admiralty Chart No. 2054; “New Zealand Pilot,” ninth edition, 1919, page 106.

WESTPORT.—DREDGER WORKING OFF WHARF.

Wellington, 14th June, 1921.

THE Westport Harbour Board notifies that dredging operations are being carried out in the Buller River by the bucket-dredger “Erskine.”

The dredger is working in the fairway up river from abreast the top end of the Staiths Wharf. She will be hauled out clear when any vessel or vessels are working to or from the wharf in daytime; and on and after Monday, 13th June, 1921, at night in fair weather she will remain at her moorings, which are at present about 300 ft. off the wharf.

IT is hereby notified, for public information, that the Hon. the Minister of Customs has decided to interpret the Customs Duties Act in relation to the undermentioned articles as follows:—
