ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1921.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR F. H. D. BELL, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Stock Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations under the said Act dated the fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and gazetted on the seventh day of October then instant (hereinafter referred to as “the said regulations”), by declaring that in respect of any cattle, sheep, and goats introduced into New Zealand from the United Kingdom the period of quarantine imposed by regulation forty of the said regulations shall be deemed to commence immediately after the expiry of the day on which they are inspected by a Government Veterinarian as required by regulation twenty-five of the said regulations; and doth hereby further declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the gazetting hereof.

Revoking the Prohibition of the Importation of Gas-cookers.

H IS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section forty-six of the Customs Act, 1913, and section two of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Amendment Act, 1915, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council made on the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the twenty-eighth day of April then instant, which prohibited to the extent specified therein the importation into New Zealand of gas-cookers.

The Northern Side of Portion of Drummond Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one—viz., “The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the northern side of Drummond Street beginning at a point 250 links from the western corner of King Street and extending for a distance of 90·91 links, being part of the frontage of Town Section 739 in the said city”; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the northern side of the portion of Drummond Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Drummond Street, abutting on part Section 739. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 50781, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The South-western Side of Portion of George Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty—viz., “The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the south-western side of George Street beginning at the corner of Tinakori Road and extending for a distance of 200 links, being part Town Section 644 in the said city”; such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, (hereinafter called “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the operation of the Third Schedule of the said Act by including therein the plant known as barberry (Berberis vulgaris), and it is hereby declared that this Order shall come into force on the day of the publication hereof in the Gazette.
