A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

Land in Block IV, Hunua Survey District, Wellington Land District, proclaimed Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue of the powers conferred upon me by section fifty-eight of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1919, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown Land, subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, such land being part of the area referred to in paragraph (b) of subsection six of the said section fifty-eight, and comprising land not required for reservation for scenic purposes in terms of subsection two of the said section.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 985 acres, be the same a little more or less, situated in Block IV, Hunua Survey District, being part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 217, folio 92. Bounded on the north by part of the Tunakotekote Road; towards the east by the Wanganui River Road; towards the south by a line starting at a point on the Wanganui River Road about thirty-four chains south of the junction of that road with the Makokomiko Road and running in a north-westerly direction to the Makokomiko Stream; thence by the northern bank of that stream to the eastern bank of the Wanganui River; and towards the west generally by the Wanganui River to the place of commencement. As the same is more particularly shown on plan numbered 6480, deposited in the Wellington District Office of the Lands and Survey Department, being the sections numbered B and C, and two portions coloured green and marked “Scenic Reserves,” containing an area of 1½ acres each.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the twelfth day of August then instant, setting apart Crown land for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND.

SECTION 2, Block VIII, Mangonui Survey District: Area, 259 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of June, 1921.

Land proclaimed as ceasing to be set apart as National Endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section eleven of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1920, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation approved in Executive Council, declare that any national endowment land disposed of under the Land Act, 1908, and held under lease or license by any person who is competent to acquire land under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, shall cease to be national endowment land:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto which is so held on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1908, should cease to be national endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section eleven, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national endowment land.
