THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Thames Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the loan of £98,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for sanitary works, consisting of the construction and completion of a water-borne separate sewerage system for the whole of the Borough of Thames, including a high-level reservoir and water-mains, pumping plants, and outfall sewer in connection therewith, and for advances to owners of properties for installations and connections linking up with the sewers, the said Thames Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sevenpence and four-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Thames; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIMATE WEST COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE (WAIMATE RIDING).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Waimate West County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £20,130, authorized to be raised by the Waimate West County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the following purposes—

Forming and metalling roads within the Waimate Riding ... £11,930
Erection of bridges within Waimate Riding ... £8,200
Total ... £20,130

the said Waimate West County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 17/128ths of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property within the Waimate Riding with the exception of the Manaia Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIMATE WEST COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE (KAUPOKONUI RIDING).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Waimate West County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £4,690, authorized to be raised by the Waimate West County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the following purposes,—

Forming and metalling roads within the Kaupokonui Riding ... £2,140
Erection of bridges within the Kaupokonui Riding ... £2,550
Total ... £4,690

the said Waimate West County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property within the Kaupokonui Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION TO WIND UP VOLUNTARILY.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the WAIRARAPA AGE COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908, that by minute entered in the company's minute-book and signed by all the shareholders owning at the time all the shares in the company, in pursuance of section 168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908, it was resolved:—

(1.) That it is advisable to reconstruct the Wairarapa Age Company (Limited), and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.
(2.) That ERNEST WILLIAM HUNT, of Wellington, Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator of the company.

BOROUGH OF GERALDINE.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Rating Act, 1908.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Geraldine taken on the 27th day of April, 1921, on a proposal that henceforth the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof be adopted in the Borough of Geraldine, the following votes were recorded, viz.: For the proposal, 179; against the proposal, 100; informal, 14.

I therefore declare the said proposal to be duly carried.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership business of Sawmillers at Taumarunui and Okahukura subsisting between HENRY WILLIAM HOPKINS, CHARLES DUFF, and WILLIAM JARVIS DUFF, heretofore carried on under the name of "Duff and Company," is dissolved as from the 19th day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one (1921). The business of the Partnership will in future be carried on by HENRY WILLIAM HOPKINS, to whom all accounts owing must be paid and by whom all accounts owing by the old firm will be paid.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK XVI, OTAMATEA SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR ROAD PURPOSES.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the post-office at Wayby, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the Rodney County Council at the Council Chambers at Warkworth in the said county.
