Brigade Premises not to be abused.
- Gambling shall not be permitted on any part of the
brigade premises, nor shall any noisy recreation be indulged
in therein or thereabout on Sundays.
Members to salute Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent.
- Foremen and firemen shall at all times salute Superintendent
and Deputy Superintendent when addressing or
being addressed by them whilst on duty.
Purchase of Stores or Effecting of Repairs to be sanctioned by
the Board.
- Stores required for the use of the brigade, and repairs
required to any of the premises or gear, shall only be obtained
or carried out by direction of the Board on requisition signed
by the Superintendent. Neither the Superintendent nor
other officer for the time being in control of the brigade shall
have any authority to purchase on behalf of the Board, nor
to in any way pledge the Board's credit for repairs or material.
Members of the Brigade not to write to the Press on Fire
Brigade Matters.
- No member of the brigade shall, under any circumstances,
write any letters or furnish information to the Press
on matters connected with the Board or brigade, save that
in the event of no superior officer being present the senior
on duty may give particulars regarding any fire which has
been attended.
The foregoing by-laws were made by the Kaitangata Fire
Board at a duly constituted meeting of the said Board held
on Wednesday, 16th March, 1921.
The common seal of the Kaitangata Fire Board was affixed
hereto by order of the Board this 16th day of March, 1921.

Constitution of a Special Roading District in terms of Section
50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913.
PURSUANT to section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment
Act, 1913, and the regulations thereunder, I, David
Henry Guthrie, Minister of Lands, do hereby, on the recommendation
of the Land Board of the Wellington Land District,
declare the lands referred to in the Schedule hereto to
be a special district for the purposes of the said section; and
such district shall be known as the Kaitoa Special Road District.

Notice of Intention to take Land for the Purposes of a Post-office in Block IV, Waitohu Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under
the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to
execute a certain public workβto wit, the construction of
a post-office in Block IV, Waitohu Survey District; and for
the purposes of such public work the land described in
the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice
is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ohau, and
is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington.

Survey District, for the Purposes of a Mental Hospital
(Porirua).
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the
additional land described in the Schedule for the purposes
of a mental hospital (Porirua). And notice is hereby further
given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the post-office at Porirua, and is there open for
inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of
the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication

Notice fixing Closing-hours of (1) Fruiterers' and (2) Confectioners'
Shops in the Borough of Eltham, under the Shops
and Offices Act, 1908.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority
of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of
(1) fruiterer and (2) confectioner in the Borough of Eltham,
has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the
borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as
follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays,
and Fridays at 10.30 p.m., and on Saturdays at 10.45 p.m.,
with the exception that on the working-day that first precedes
