power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section and
by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amend-
ment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native
Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act,
1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a
further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated
the fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred
and nineteen, and gazetted the eighth day of January,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty, but only in so far
as it affects the land specified in the Schedule hereto, pro-
hibiting all alienation other than alienation in favour of the
Crown.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit,
for the period of one year from the date of this Order in
Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the
Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Council in terms of Section 45 of the Finance Act, 1920.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of
May, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-five of the Finance Act,
1920, it is provided that any local authority within
the meaning of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, may,
in anticipation of its revenue receivable under the General
Account, temporarily transfer to its General Account any
balance of a loan account, or any part thereof, for such period
and on such terms as the Governor-General in Council may
authorize:
And whereas the Taranaki County Council has made
application for authority to transfer the sums of eight thousand
five hundred and forty-one pounds eighteen shillings and
elevenpence from the Road Improvement Loan Account,
six hundred and ninety-seven pounds seven shillings and
tenpence from the Kirihau Road Loan Account, three hundred
and forty-four pounds four shillings and fivepence from the
Te Arei Road Loan Account, one hundred and forty-nine
pounds fifteen shillings from the Lower Mangorei Loan
Account, five hundred and ninety-four pounds thirteen shillings
from the Plymouth Road Loan Account, and one hundred and
six pounds ten shillings and fourpence from the Hurford
Road Loan Account to its General Account, and it is expedient
to authorize the said transfer:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said
Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby autho-
rize the transfer of the aforesaid sums to the General Account
of the Taranaki County Council for the period ending not
later than the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-two.

Portion of Road along the Styx River, in Waimairi County,
exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public
Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-
line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of
May, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following
resolution passed by the Waimairi County Council on the ninth
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty—viz.,
“Resolved that the provisions of section one hundred and
seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, requiring setting-
back of frontage shall not apply to that part of the road
along the western bank of the Styx (or Purarekania) River
abutting on Rural Sections 14201, 14201x, 16806, 14174,
and 26419”; subject to the condition that no building or
part of a building shall at any time be erected on the western
side of the portion of the road along the Styx River described
in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of forty-one feet
from the existing western boundary of the said portion of road.
