Stopping a Government Road in Block II, Rodney Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 1 acre 0 roods 22 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotments 47 and 157A, Parish of Omaha, Block II, Rodney Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 21283.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 51053, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of May, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

Revoking the Reservation over a Scenic Reserve in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of that month, the land described in the Schedule hereto was declared to be a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes owing to the absence of scenic bush thereon:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 3, Block VI, Retaruke Survey District: Area, 26 acres 0 roods 16 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of May, 1921.

Authorizing the Westport Borough Council to erect a Monument in Victoria Square as a Permanent War Memorial.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of May, 1921.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR F. H. D. BELL, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as “the said section”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve the provision by the Westport Borough Council of a monument as a permanent war memorial, as provided by the said section; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby approve of the erection of such monument in that portion of the Borough of Westport described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Land District of Nelson, containing by admeasurement an area of 11 acres 1 rood 8 perches, being Sections 986 and 987, and closed road, known as Victoria Square, situated in the Borough of Westport. Bounded towards the north by Lyndhurst Street, towards the east by Peel Street, towards the south by Brougham Street, and towards the west by Russell Street.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, a majority of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Waipa, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, praying that the land comprised in the said area be included in the Ohaupo Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act:
