of the Akaroa Borough Council, the local authority of the Borough of Akaroa, one of the constituent districts within the Banks Peninsula Electric-power District; to acquire land by purchase or lease and thereon to plant or sow such trees as the Board may consider advisable; to expend moneys on the tending and rearing of such trees, and the same trees from time to time to cut down and utilize for the purpose of electric works within the district, subject to the provisions of the Harbours Act, 1908, and its amendments; to reclaim land by the erection of retaining-walls or otherwise, and to fill in and level such land or otherwise adjust or adapt the same to use for the purposes of the Board; and generally to perform the functions of an Electric-power Board constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and its amendments, subject to the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

No electric lines shall be used for the distribution of electrical energy until the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board has obtained a license for such purpose in accordance with the provisions of section 2 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911.

Any conditions inserted in such license shall be strictly complied with by such Board.

Such Board shall, before the works authorized are commenced, forward for the approval of the Minister of Public Works,—
(a.) Plans, in triplicate, showing the routes of the electric lines proposed to be erected, and particulars of insulation and voltage;
(b.) Such further plans and particulars as the Minister of Public Works may require.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of March, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the Wairarapa South County Council to borrow the sum of six thousand two hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of roading, bridging, completing water-race, and completing purchase of steam road-roller and motor-trucks, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the sum of six thousand two hundred and fifty pounds by the Wairarapa South County Council at a rate of interest not exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loan hereby authorized.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of March, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waikohu County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
