A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Komakorau Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :—

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 50422, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1921.

Stopping a Government Road in Block I, Mahoe Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and section one hundred and three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped : 2 roods 17 perches.
Portion of Prospect Road, Whangamomona Township, situated in Block I, Mahoe Survey District (Taranaki R.D.). (S.O. 5676.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 51020, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of March, 1921.

Apportionment of Representation on and Election of Representatives to the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of March, 1921.

Present :
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette on the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, the City of Wellington and the Borough of Karori were constituted one united borough, and the boundaries of the said city were so constituted as to include the said borough :

And whereas by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette on the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, the City of Wellington and the Borough of Miramar were constituted one united borough, and the boundaries of the said city were so constituted as to include the said borough :

And whereas by section nine, subsection two, of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, it is enacted that the number of representatives of each contributory district on a Hospital Board shall be such as is determined from time to time in each case by the Governor-General by Order in Council :

And whereas it is desirable to determine the representatives for the said city :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, doth hereby determine that the number of representatives of the City of Wellington within the Wellington Hospital District shall be fourteen; and that the first election of such representatives shall be held on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one; and that the representatives of the formerly combined district of Wellington City and Miramar and Karori Boroughs shall continue to hold office as representing the City of Wellington until such date. And doth hereby direct that the regulations made by Order in Council dated the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, shall apply as if incorporated in this Order in Council, with the following exception :—

The Order in Council of the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “Miramar Borough,” “Karori Borough,” “Combined District,” in the second column of the Schedule thereto.

Authorizing the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board to construct Electric Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1921.

Present :
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section forty-nine of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, as amended by section seventeen of the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board to construct suitable and necessary works in the Canterbury Land District to enable such Board to erect electric lines, transformers, and substations for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in the Banks Peninsula Electric-power District as defined by Proclamation dated the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1, of the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to make by-laws in respect of any electric works for the purposes set out in the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and its amendments, and for the purposes set out in section 19 of the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1920; to purchase any electric works the property
