WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, APRIL 7, 1921.

ERRATA.—In the third line of the Schedule to the Order in Council dated the 21st day of March, 1921, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 29, page 742, of 24th March, 1921, declaring portion of Waihuka Road in the Ohura County to be a county road, for “Parakiti” read “Paraketu.”

In the Schedule to Warrant dated the 13th February, 1921, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 17th idem, appointing Postmasters to take and receive statutory declarations, for “John Brooks” read “John Brookes.”

In the notice published in Gazette No. 20, of the 24th February, 1921, page 542, appointing Inspectors of Stock for the purposes of the Stock Act, 1908, for “John Haigh” read “James Haigh.”

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Raglan County, at Rotowaro.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Huntly-Awaroa Branch of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road;

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Raglan County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 roods 3·36 perches. Portion of Railway Reserve (78B, Pepepe Parish), Block XIV, Rangiriri Survey District, Raglan County.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 28752, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of March, 1921.

Districts constituted under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor-General by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Lumsden District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:—

LUMSDEN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded towards the north and east by the Mataura River from its source at Eyre Peak to the northern boundary of the Hokonui Survey District; thence towards the south generally by that boundary, the eastern boundaries of Blocks II, III, and IX to the south-western corner of Section 356, Hokonui Survey District; thence along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 339, along the northern boundary of that section and Section 367 to the eastern boundary of Block VIII; thence southwards along said boundary and along the southern boundary of said Block VIII to the Oreti River, thence by that river and the Southland County to Section 186, Taringatura Survey District; thence towards the west generally by Sections 186, 158, and 157 to the confluence of Hamilton Burn with the Aparima River; thence by the Hamilton Burn, the Mossburn, and Sections 6 and 16 and the production of the eastern boundary of said Section 16 to the left bank of the Oreti River; thence up that river to its confluence with the Windley River; and towards the north-west by a right line to Eyre Peak, the point of commencement.

BALFOUR DISTRICT.

All that area in the Southland Land District bounded towards the north by the Lumsden Marriage District hereinbefore described from Section 258, Hokonui Survey District, to the Mataura River; towards the east by said Mataura River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 511, Hokonui Survey District; thence towards the south generally by a right line to the easternmost corner of that section and by Sections 201, 563, and 202 to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the road at the easternmost corner of Section 148, by that road and its continuation to the junction of roads at the northernmost corner of Section 198 by the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections 198, 629, 628, 627, 626, and 625 to Section 50, and by that section to the Longridge Stream; thence by that stream, the Waimea Stream, and Cowan’s Creek, and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 354 to its southernmost corner; thence towards
