Schedule hereto may be included in the Hungahunga Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN THE HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of roads in Section 8, Block VIII, Maungakawa Survey District, and proceeding thence north-westerly along the western side of the road through Waihekau No. 2 Block to the north-western boundary of that block; thence north-easterly along that boundary, south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Waihekau No. 4 Block, and south-westerly along the road forming the western boundary of Orongomairoa Block, and passing through the aforesaid Section 8 to the point of commencement.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of (1) Grocers and (2) General Storekeepers’ Shops in the Borough of Hamilton, under the Shops and Offices Act, 1908.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of (1) grocer and (2) general storekeeper in the Borough of Hamilton, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 5.30 p.m., and on Fridays at 6 p.m.:

And whereas, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of (1) grocer and (2) general storekeeper within the borough of Hamilton:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, I do hereby direct that on and after the 17th day of March, 1921, all the shops in each of the trades of (1) grocer and (2) general storekeeper within the Borough of Hamilton shall be closed accordingly.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 28th March, 1918, fixing the closing-hours of grocers’ shops in the Borough of Hamilton is hereby cancelled as from the date of coming into operation of this notice.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of (1) Hairdressers and (2) Tobacconists’ Shops in the Borough of Invercargill, under the Shops and Offices Act, 1908.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of (1) hairdresser and (2) tobacconist in the Borough of Invercargill, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Monday 6 p.m., Tuesday 6 p.m., Thursday 6 p.m., Friday 6 p.m., Saturday 9 p.m., with the following exceptions:—

(1.) On Easter Saturday and on the working-days immediately preceding Good Friday, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day there shall be no fixed closing-hour.

(2.) Should the occupier of any shop affected by this requisition observe, pursuant to section 11 (2) of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, Saturday as the statutory closing-day, then and in such case the closing-hour on Wednesday for any such shop shall be 6 p.m., and the closing-hour on Friday for any such shop shall be 9 p.m.:

The notice gazetted on the 7th December, 1916, fixing the closing-hours of hairdressers’ and tobacconists’ shops in the Borough of Invercargill is hereby cancelled as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

Appointment of Chairman of Banks Peninsula Rabbit Board to consent to Prosecutions under the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918.—Notice No. 2057.

IN pursuance of section 7 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1920, I, William Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture, do hereby appoint

HENRY THOMAS CHAPMAN, Esq.,

Chairman of the Banks Peninsula Rabbit Board, as the person to consent, in lieu of myself, to all prosecutions under subsection (1) of section 2 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918, instituted for offences within the Board’s district on the recommendation of two Inspectors under the Act.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for Reginald John McEwen, Wellington.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in receiving money as the consideration for an assurance or agreement implied to pay money on events relating to horse-races, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name) shall be registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said persons (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed names), or addressed to the addresses given in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
