The Plumbers Registration Act, 1912.—Successful Candidates, Plumbers Board Examination, 4th-5th November, 1921.
THE following is a list of plumbers to whom certificates of having passed the examination of the Plumbers Board of New Zealand will be granted in pursuance of section 17 of the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912, and whose names have been entered in the Register of Plumbers of New Zealand in pursuance of section 8 of the Act:—

Notice to Mariners.—No. 72 of 1921.
WANGANUI HARBOUR.—SOUTH MOLE LIGHT.

THE Wanganui Harbour Board notifies that the temporary less powerful red light referred to in Notice to Mariners No. 41, of the 18th August of this year, which has been exhibited from the extreme end of the South Mole during the progress of the mole-extension works, has now been replaced by the permanent Wigham red light.

THE following Notices to Mariners, which have been received from the Hydrographic Office, London, and the Hydrographic Office, Washington, are published for general information.

ENGLAND.
WEST COAST.—CARDIGAN BAY.—ST. TUDWALL LIGHT TO BE CHANGED.
About 12th January, 1922, the main occulting light and the fixed red subsidiary light at St. Tudwall Light-station will be discontinued, and an unwatched flashing light with red and white sectors, showing 1 flash every 20 seconds—thus, flash 1 second, eclipse 19 seconds—will be established in this tower. The new light will show sectors as follows: . Red from 169° to 221°; white from 221° to 243°; red from 243° to 259°, covering Careg-y-Trai Rocks; white from 259° to 293°; red from 293° to 349°; white from 349° to 169°.
Approx. position: 52° 48′ N., 4° 28′ W.
WEST INDIES.
WINDWARD PASSAGE.—NAVASSA ISLAND.—WRECK SOUTH-EASTWARD OF.
Position.—At a distance of 6 cables, 130°, from the charted position of Navassa Island Lighthouse. Lat. 18° 24′ N., long. 75° 00′ W. (approx.).
Description.—Sunken wreck of the s.s. “Ferngarth.”
NORTH PACIFIC OCEAN.
GREENWICH ISLANDS.—REPORTED TO LIE FURTHER EASTWARD.
Position on Charts.—Lat. 1° 04′ N., long. 154° 43′ E. (approx.).
Details.—The group of islands known as Greenwich Islands are reported to lie about 9 miles further eastward than charted.
Note.—A note to the above effect is to be inserted on the charts.
HAWAIIAN ISLANDS.
MAYO REEF.—REEF REPORTED EASTWARD.
The master of the French schooner “Raita” reports obtaining a sounding of 33 fathoms, coarse sand, in (approximately) 25° 37′ N., 169° 27′ W.
From the above position, steering a course 355°, the following soundings were taken at the intervals given: ½ mile, 17 and 16 fathoms, sand bottom; 2 miles, 16 fathoms, sand bottom; 3 miles, 16 fathoms; 2 miles, 35 fathoms; 4 miles, no bottom at 100 fathoms.
CANADA.
BRITISH COLUMBIA, STRAIT OF GEORGIA.—ENTRANCE ISLAND.—AMENDED CHARACTERISTICS OF LIGHT.
Position.—Lat. 49° 13′ N., long. 123° 49′ W. (approx.).
New Abridged Description.—Lt. F. fl. ev. 5 secs., 65 ft., vis. 13 m.
Character.—A fixed and flashing white light every five seconds.
Elevation.—Unaltered.
Visibility.—Unaltered.
Power.—Fixed, 500 candles; flashes, 50,000 candles.
Remarks.—For half the period of the light—i.e., two and a half seconds—a fixed light will be visible through which the flash will show, for the other half of the period the light will be totally eclipsed.
Note.—The red sector formerly visible over Gabriola Reefs has been discontinued.
JAPAN.
HONSHU.—SOUTH COAST.—ICHIE ZAKI.—LIGHT ESTABLISHED.
On 1st October, 1921, a fourth-order group flashing white light of 36,000 candle-power, having a period of 30 seconds, 2 short flashes in 8 seconds, eclipse 22 seconds, was established on Ichic Zaki.
The light is exhibited 322 ft. above high water and 30 ft. above the ground from a white octagonal concrete tower, and is visible 25 miles over an arc of 192°, from 313° to 145°.
Position: 33° 35′ 00″ N., 135° 23′ 44″ E.
PHILIPPINE ISLANDS.
SULU ARCHIPELAGO.—PEARL BANK.—ROCK DISCOVERED NORTH-EASTWARD.
The existence of an exposed rock has been reported by a Japanese vessel at a distance of 7·7 miles 27° from Zau Island light. The rock is described as follows: “About 6 ft. above water, the upper part white. Although it possesses a number of sharp summits, approached from the N.W. or S.E., it has
