Result of Polls for Proposed Loans.

Wellington, 9th December, 1921.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Palmerston North, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Results of Polls on Proposals to raise Special Loans.

IN pursuance of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Palmerston North taken on the 25th day of November, 1921, on a proposal to raise a special loan of £23,000 to extend and duplicate the sewerage system where necessary, to purchase all machinery and material required for the installation of pumping plants, and the acquisition of land upon which to erect such plants, the result of the voting was as follows: For the proposal, 373; against the proposal, 151.

I therefore declare that the above proposal was carried.

IN pursuance of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Palmerston North taken on the 25th day of November, 1921, on a proposal to raise a special loan of £10,500 to purchase additional buses, petrol appliances, erect shelter-sheds, and to enlarge and extend the bus barn, the result of the voting was as follows: For the proposal, 358; against the proposal, 170.

I therefore declare that the above proposal was carried.

Declaring Lands to be included in a Special Roading District in terms of Section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913.

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Lands Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and the regulations thereunder, I, David Henry Guthrie, Minister of Lands, do hereby declare the lands referred to in the Schedule hereto to be included in the Kaitoa Special Road District.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Registrar dissolving a Society.

I, ROBERT EDWARD HAYES, Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that The Owhango and Kakahi Medical Association (Incorporated) is no longer carrying on its operations and has no assets, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved, in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.
