Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Lower Mangapiko Drainage District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

LOWER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE BOARD.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan of £2,000.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Lower Mangapiko Drainage District was taken on the 17th day of November, 1921, on the proposal of the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of killing and removing willows in the Mangapiko Stream.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 19, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 15. Three-fifths majority being required, I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

HICKS BAY HARBOUR BOARD.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Hicks Bay Harbour Area (comprising the County of Matakoa) taken on the 22nd day of October, 1921, on the proposal of the Hicks Bay Harbour Board to borrow the sum of £30,000 for the purpose of carrying out harbour-works (wharf, shed, &c.) at Hicks Bay, and taking over works already completed and in progress, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 148, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 29th day of October, 1921.
