No licensee shall take or kill more than four bucks, and
no buck shall be killed carrying antlers with less than four
points. -
No doe or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext
whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany
either himself or any attendant he may have with him. -
Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing
any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. -
Any person committing a breach of any of these regu-
lations shall be liable, on conviction, o a fine not exceeding
£20.

District Acclimatization District, from the day of

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Westland.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said
Act”), I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make
the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season
in the Westland Acclimatization District, exclusive of all
sanctuaries, and the conditions affecting the same, and also
the form of license and the fee payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.

RED-DEER stags may be taken or killed in that part of
the Westland Acclimatization District known as the Haast,
Wills, and Landsborough Valleys, South Westland, from the
25th March, 1922, to the 20th May, 1922 (both days in-
clusive). -
Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the
Chief Postmaster at Hokitika, on payment of a license fee of
£3, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject
to the said Act and these regulations; provided that not more
than one such license shall be issued to the same person. -

No. 40, Vol. I, of 20th May, 1909, shall be strictly adhered
to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all
unused “tags” to the secretary of the Westland Acclimati-
zation Society, Hokitika, immediately he has finished stalking
for the season for which such “tags” have been issued,
together with a statement of the number of deer shot. -
Any person committing a breach of any of these regu-
lations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding
£20.

Notifying Lands in the North Auckland Land District for Sale
by Public Auction.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section
of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint Wednesday, the fifteenth day of February, one thou-
sand nine hundred and twenty-two, as the time at which the
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said
lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule
hereto.

Undulating land, nearly all grass, with a few nice native
trees growing thereon. Soil, fair quality clay; badly watered.
Situated on the Titoki–Wauto Road, about twenty-one miles
from Whangarei and twenty-eight miles from Dargaville.
