Authorizing the Waipawa Borough Council to erect a Clock-tower
in Church and High Streets as a Permanent War Memorial.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of
December, 1921.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance
Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as “the said section”),
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve
of the provision by the Waipawa Borough Council of a clock-
tower as a permanent war memorial, as provided by the said
section; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby
approve of the erection of such clock-tower in that portion
of the Borough of Waipawa described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 19½ perches, more or less, and being
Lot 2 of Section 108, Waipawa Township. Bounded on the
north by Church Street, on the east by High Street, and on
the south and west by other part of Section 108.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of
December, 1921.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made, under section
twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919,
for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council
to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Sche-
dule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is
expedient that such consent should issue :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the
Schedule hereto ; and it is hereby declared that this Order
in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the
Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent
of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans
hereby authorized.

Declaring Portion of Tauraroa Valley Road, in the Manga-
ro ngo Road District, to be a District Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of
December, 1921.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Go-
vernor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, become a district road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road, situated in the Auckland Land Dis-
trict, Mangaorongo Road District, known as Tauraroa Valley
Road, commencing at a point on the boundary between Wai-
tomo County and the Mangaorongo Road District in Rangi-
toto A No. 46b Block, Block XV, Mangaorongo Survey
District, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direc-
tion, adjoining or passing through portion of the said Rangi-
toto A No. 46b Block and Section 3, Blocks XV and XVI,
Section 4 and part Section 5, Block XVI, Mangaorongo
Survey District, and terminating at a point at its junction
with a public road on the northern boundary of the said Sec-
tion 5 ; being a distance of 3 miles 10·5 chains, more or less.
As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 53279, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Wakarara Survey District, to be Government Roads.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers
in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on
and after the date of this Order in Council, become Govern-
ment roads.

Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

vested in him by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908,
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this
behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
make the regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto pre-
scribing conditions under which telephone-exchange connec-
tions are granted ; and doth order and declare that any
regulations of similar purport heretofore made are hereby
