WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 1921.
Constituting the Town District of Turua, Hauraki Plains County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor-General may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less that fifty householders shall be a town district:
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor-General by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the said petition, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908 :
And whereas a Commission appointed in pursuance of section two of the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1912, held an inquiry, and reported that the locality defined in the said petition was suitable for municipal control, and made certain alterations of the boundaries thereof : Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the locality defined in the said petition, with boundaries as altered by the said Commission, shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Turua Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven members.
SCHEDULE.
TURUA TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the Thames County, Blocks XI and XII, Thames Survey District, and Blocks II and III, Waihou Survey District, commencing A
at the right bank of the Oparia Creek, the northern boundary of Oparia A Block. Bounded towards the north generally by the Oparia Creek to its confluence with the Waihou River; towards the east by the Waihou River aforesaid to its confluence with a stream in Lot 1 shown on plan 12612 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; towards the south-east by the aforesaid stream and a drain through Lots 1 and 2 shown on plan 12612 aforesaid to a public road, thence by a right line across the said road to the south-east corner of Lot 19 shown on plan 7492 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence by the south-east boundary of the last said lot for a distance of 4650 links; towards the south-west by a right line through Lots 19, 18, 16, 13, 12, 11, 10, and 9 shown on plans 7492 and 11533 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to a point distant 270 links from the south-east corner of Lot 8D shown on the last said deposited plan; again towards the south-east by the south-east boundary of Lot 8D aforesaid and Lots 8c and 8B shown on last said deposited plan; towards the west by the west boundary of Lot 8B aforesaid, across a public road, and by the west boundaries of Lots 5, 4, and 3 shown on last said deposited plan ; towards the north-west by the north-west boundary of Lot 3 aforesaid a distance of 1680 links; again towards the south-west by a right line through Lot 1A shown on plan 11533 aforesaid to the south boundary of Oparia No. 1 Block, and distant 1300 links from its south-west corner, and by a right line through the said Oparia No. 1 Block to its northern boundary, and distant 1270 links from its north-west corner; towards the north-west by the northern boundaries of Oparia No. 1 Block, Oparia A Block, across a public road, again by the northern boundary of Oparia A Block aforesaid, to and across the Oparia Creek to the place of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of December, 1921.
