Provided still further that no bait other than the natural or artificial fly, or natural or artificial minnow, shall be used for taking fish in the Waipa River and its tributaries.

Conferring on Kowai County Council Powers of Borough Councils with respect to Lighting and the Supply of Electricity.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1920.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Lake Coleridge Water-power Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), that the Governor-General may by Order in Council confer on any local authority proposing to contract with His Majesty the King for the supply of electricity from the works established at Lake Coleridge by the Minister of Public Works such of the powers of Borough Councils with respect to lighting and the supply of electricity as he thinks fit, and with such restrictions, modifications, and conditions as he thinks fit, and thereupon that local authority shall have and may exercise the said powers accordingly pursuant to the tenor of the said Order in Council:
And whereas the Kowai County Council proposes to contract as aforesaid with His Majesty the King, and it is expedient to confer upon the said County Council certain of the said powers of Borough Councils, subject to certain restrictions and conditions:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him in that behalf by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confer on the said Kowai County Council all the powers exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council under sections two hundred and seventy-seven and three hundred and twenty-nine of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, section thirty-three, and subsection one as regards paragraph (a), and subsection two of section forty-five of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, and section five of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1915, subject to the restriction and condition that such powers shall be exercisable by the said Kowai County Council.

Consenting to stopping Portion of Road in Block XII, Maungamangero Survey District, Waitomo County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1920.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waitomo County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 2 acres 3 roods 30 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Lot 3 of Kinohaku East 4B Section 4B, as shown on L.T. plan 11419, situated in Block XII, Maungamangero Survey District. (S.O. 21118.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49660, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Fire-brigade Station in the Borough of New Plymouth.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a fire-brigade station in the Borough of New Plymouth, portion of such land being occupied by a building.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 2 roods 2·6 perches.
Being Sections 931 and 932, Town of New Plymouth, situated in the Borough of New Plymouth.
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 50103, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1920.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS application has been made, under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.
