In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of R. D. ROGERS (LIMITED), in Voluntary Liquidation, Feilding.

A T an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company held on Friday, the 15th October, 1920, the following resolution was duly passed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. R. ROBSON, Public Accountant, Box 4 Feilding, be appointed Liquidator.”

MOTUROA CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY (LTD.).

N OTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held at Waverley on the 3rd day of September, 1920, the following special resolution was passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company held at Waverley on the 1st day of October, 1920, the said resolution was duly confirmed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that JOHN EDWARD PALMER, of Waverley, the Secretary of the Company, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a public road; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Whangarei.

N OTICE is hereby given that at the meeting of the Council held on 20th October the following resolution was carried:—

That Part II of the Motor Registration Act, 1902, be brought into operation in the Temuka Borough, and that the distinguishing letters be T K, as advertised in the Timaru Herald on 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th of September, and on 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th of October.

WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipukurau Borough Council by special order, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, sections 64 and 65 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the provisions of the Housing Act, 1919, for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting workers’ dwellings, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of (1⅜d.) one and three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipukurau Borough District, comprising all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District in Blocks XIV and XV, Waipukurau Survey District, as shown upon the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, under the No. S.G. 54–516, and thereon bordered red; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of July and the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

WAITOA STREAM SPECIAL AREA LOAN.—RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of interest and principal on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for land drainage, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Waitoa Stream Special Area in the Matamata County, as set forth in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the first year’s instalments and the cost of raising the loan shall be paid out of the loan.

SCHEDULE.

All that area of land commencing at the Waitoa Stream at the N.W. corner of Section 7, Block II, Tapapa; thence along the northern boundary of the said section to the railway-line; thence south to the southern boundary of Section 4 of the said block; thence following the said boundary to its intersection with Section 112; thence easterly to the N.E. corner, and following the eastern boundary of the said Section 112 and Section 111 to Section 106, and following that section’s northern and eastern boundaries to Section 104; thence easterly to the railway-line, and following the said line generally south to the N.E. corner of Section 99; Block VI, Tapapa; thence generally south to the eastern boundaries of said Section 99 and Sections 98 and 97 to part Hinuera 1B and Sections 1 and 1A, and following the northern, eastern, and western boundaries of these sections to Section 122, Block IX, Tapapa; thence north to the Buckland Road; thence east to Section 121; thence generally north by the western boundaries of Sections 121, 120, 119, 118, 116, 115, 113, and 56; thence along the northern boundary of said Section 56 to the Waitoa Stream; thence north to the point of commencement.
