THE Partnership heretofore existing between PERCY MARLBOROUGH STEWART, of England, Gentleman, and ARTHUR CHARLES JOHNSON, of Te Kuiti, Estate Agent, in the carrying-on and control of farming operations in the Raglan District under the name of “Stewart and Johnson,” has been dissolved by the retirement therefrom of the said Arthur Charles Johnson as from the twentieth day of July, 1920.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the said Horowhenua County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of forming, reforming, and metalling Ohau East Road, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fifths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ohau East Road Special Rating District, comprising Sections 3, 4B, part 5 (north) 5 (south), 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 7A, 7B, 8, 8A, 10, part 18, of Ohau 3A No. 2, Blocks V and IX, Waiopehu S.D.; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAMARINO ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangamarino Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £700, authorized to be raised by the Whangamarino Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for reforming and metalling the road known locally as McPherson Road, situated in Block X, Piako Survey District, the Whangamarino Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 17/32 of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Okaeria Special Rating Area of the Waerenga Subdivision of the Whangamarino Road District, County of Waikato; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The Okaeria Special Rating Area comprises Sections 3 and 2, Block XI, Piako Survey District, and Sections 1 and 2, Block XII, Piako Survey District, and Sections 471, 467, 468, 469, parts of Sections 205, 204, 203, and Sections 256 and 470, and Crown lands, Block X, Piako Survey District.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and their amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, a pleasure ground; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

WOODVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Woodville County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Woodville County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for scarifying, grading, remetalling, rolling, and tarring twenty-one miles (more or less) of main road, the said Woodville County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/45 (seven forty-fifths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Woodville County, comprising the whole of the County of Woodville; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company duly convened and held at Dunedin on the twenty-first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, the following resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, the following resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution:—
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that a Liquidator or Liquidators be appointed for the purposes of such winding-up.”
And at the said meetings the following resolution was duly passed and confirmed:—
“ That the Directors, Messrs. Wm. Wilson, Peter Walker, John Scott, Patrick Young Wales, and Alfred James Rutherford, be appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.”
