Tapapa Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at Trig. Te Weraiti, thence in a south-easterly direction by Tauranga County to the northernmost corner of Paengaroa No. 1 Block; thence in a southerly direction by the western boundary of the said block to the northern boundary of Block II, Patetere North-east Survey District; thence west by part of said Block II and Block I of said survey district, and part of northern boundary of Block IV, Patetere North Survey District, to the Pakaraka Road; thence by the said Pakaraka Road to and by the Te Aroha Road, across said road to the southern boundary of Section 61, Selwyn Settlement; thence in a westerly direction by the road forming the southern boundary of said Section 61, across a road, and by a road intersecting Paiaka-Mangaoatua Block, and by that road to the Waihou River, across the said river, and by the road forming the southern boundary of the land shown on L.T. plan 3624A, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and the road forming southern boundary of Sections 19, 17, 10, shown on L.T. plan 4472A, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to the Auckland-Rotorua Railway; thence in a northerly direction by the said railway to the southern boundary of Matamata Riding above described, and thence by the said Matamata Riding to the point of commencement.

Okoroire Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the northernmost corner of Paengaroa No. 1 Block, thence in a south-easterly direction by the Tauranga County; thence in a south-westerly direction by Rotorua County to the Auckland-Rotorua Railway; thence westerly by the said railway to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 102, Selwyn Settlement; thence north by that road and the Oraka Stream, across the said stream, to the southern boundary of Section 11 shown on plan 4473A, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to the Auckland-Rotorua Railway; thence by the said railway to the Tapapa Riding; thence by the Tapapa Riding above described to the place of commencement.

Tirau Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the south-westernmost corner of Peria Riding, thence in an easterly direction by the last said riding to the Auckland-Rotorua Railway; thence in a southerly direction by the said railway and the Okoroire Riding above described to the northern boundary of Section 1, Selwyn Settlement, and by the road forming the northern boundary of said Section 1, across the said road, and by the western boundaries of Section 1 aforesaid and Section 3 of aforesaid settlement, and by Sections 7 and 8 of aforesaid settlement, and by the Pokaiwhenua Stream to its confluence with the Waikato River; thence in a northerly direction by the Waikato River to the Taotaoroa Riding, and by that riding to the point of commencement.

Maungatautari Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 17th December, 1908, No. 102, page 3150.

Putaruru Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the junction of the Waikato River with the West Taupo County boundary, thence in a northerly direction by the Waikato River to the south boundary of the Tirau Riding above described; thence in an easterly direction by the Tirau Riding to the Okoroire Riding above described; thence in a southerly direction by the last said riding to the crossing of the Auckland-Rotorua Railway line, across said railway, and by the southern boundary of Section 102, Selwyn Settlement, to the Taupo Totara Timber Company's railway, and by that railway to the northern boundary of Section 30, Selwyn Settlement; thence by eastern boundary of said section, across a road, the Ngutuwera Stream, and the last said railway-line; thence by the eastern boundary of Section 39, Selwyn Settlement, across the Lichfield Road; thence by the Taupo and Napier Road to the northern boundary of Lot 1, Section 44, Selwyn Settlement, and thence by the said Allotment 1 to the road forming the south-western boundary of Lot 2 of said Section 44, and thence in a northerly direction by said road to a point the production of the north boundary of Section 43 of Selwyn Settlement, across a road, and by Section 43 aforesaid to the north-east corner of Pakuranga No. 2B Block; thence by the eastern and southern boundary of said block, and part of the eastern and southern boundary of Waotu South D No. 9 Block, to the Waipa Stream; thence by a right line in a south-west direction to

a point about 100 chains south-east from Trig. Station 817 on the southern boundary of Section 43c, Selwyn Settlement; thence by the southern boundary of said Section 43c to the north-east corner of part Matanuku No. 3 Block; thence by the eastern and southern boundary of said block and the eastern and southern boundaries of Matanuku No. 2B 2, No. 2F 2, and No. 2G 2 Blocks to the Waikato River; thence in a northerly direction by the Waikato River to the point of commencement.

Tokoroa Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the south-westernmost corner of Putaruru Riding above described; thence in an easterly and northerly direction by the Putaruru Riding above described, and again in an easterly direction by the Okoroire Riding above described to the Rotorua County boundary; thence in a southerly direction by the Rotorua County and East Taupo County to the Waikato River; thence in a westerly and northerly direction by the said Waikato River to the point of commencement.

Special Order made by the Waikohu County Council altering Boundaries of Ridings and adjusting Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Waikohu County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 and section 25 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—
(1.) That the present division of the county into five ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into seven ridings, to be called respectively Karaka Riding, Kanakanaia Riding, Waipaoa Riding, Mangatu Riding, Motu Riding, Waihuka Riding, and Ngatapa Riding, which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.
(2.) The said Waikohu County Council shall consist of seven members, who shall be elected as follows: The electors of the said seven ridings shall elect one Councillor for each riding.
(3.) For the purpose of adjusting the representation of ridings this order shall take effect from the 1st day of October, 1920, or on the date of gazetting.
(4.) Subject to the last preceding paragraph, the alterations hereby made shall take effect on and after the 1st day of April, 1921.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was hereto affixed in the presence of—

SCHEDULE.

Kanakanaia Riding.

Commencing at a point in the Waipaoa River at the junction with the existing county boundary between the Cook and Waikohu Counties on the eastern side of Waihora 1A, bounded on the east generally by the said Cook-Waikohu county boundary to its junction with the Waingaromia River at the north point of Lot 3 of Waingaromia 1C; thence bounded on the north-west generally by the north-west boundary of Lot 3, being part Waingaromia 1C, and Lot 7 of Waipaoa 2, as delineated on D.P. 1696, and of Lot 4, being part Waingaromia 1C, Lots 5 and 6, Waipaoa No. 2, part Waitangi 1 South and 2 South, as delineated in D.P. 1697; thence to its junction with the north boundary of Lot 5 (D.P. 1698) at its junction with the Waingaromia River; thence on the south-west by the south-west boundary of the said Lot 4 and its junction with the County Road; thence following the centre of the said road between Lots 4 and 5 to the southern corner of Lot 4; thence on the north-west generally by the north-west boundaries of Lots part 1, 2, 3, and part 3 of Block X, Waingaromia Survey District; thence on the north-west by the north boundary of Lot 2 and Lot 1 (D.P. 2139) of Lot 5 (D.P. 1698), Waingaromia C; thence by the north-west
