HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial Forces.
N.Z. STAFF CORPS.
The undermentioned Lieutenants (on probation) to be Captains (on probation) :
William Alfred Gustafson, D.C.M. Dated 1st July, 1920.
Jack Beaumont Le Mottee. Dated 1st September, 1920.
QUEEN ALEXANDRA'S 2ND (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Major Charles Henty resigns his commission. Dated 23rd July, 1920.
4TH (WAIKATO) MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant [Lieutenant, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] Lemuel Victor Bellingham, from the Unattached List (General List), to be Lieutenant. Dated 29th September, 1920.
Lieutenant Angus Gordon Macdonald, from the N.Z. Garrison Artillery, to be Lieutenant. Dated 30th September, 1920.
2nd Lieutenant Cecil Nonus White, D.C.M., from the Retired List, to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 29th September, 1920.
8TH (SOUTH CANTERBURY) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Bowler Milton is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of paragraphs 126 and 127, General Regulations, 1913, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 29th September, 1920.
10TH (NELSON) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant Ronald Alister Forsyth resigns his commission. Dated 30th September, 1920.
RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
Lieutenant Henry Joseph Faulkner resigns his commission. Dated 27th September, 1920.

Lieutenant William Frederick Sefton, from the Unattached List (b), to be Lieutenant. Dated 29th September, 1920.
N.Z. GARRISON ARTILLERY,
Auckland G.A. Division.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Angus Gordon Macdonald relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Supplies and Transport, Canterbury Military District, and the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 18th October, 1919.
Lieutenant Angus Gordon Macdonald is transferred to the 4th (Waikato) Mounted Rifles. Dated 30th September, 1920.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
N.Z. Post and Telegraph Corps (South Island).
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) William Joseph Tidmas Watson resigns his appointment. Dated 29th September, 1920.
5TH (WELLINGTON) REGIMENT.
Benjamin John Shardlow to be Bandmaster, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 30th July, 1920.
9TH (HAWKE'S BAY) REGIMENT.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 79, of 9th September, 1920, relating to Lieutenant Hugh Edward Crosse, M.C., being transferred to the Reserve of Officers, add the words “with the rank of Captain.”
10TH (NORTH OTAGO) REGIMENT.
Lieutenant Ralph Malcolm is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 29th September, 1920.
2nd Lieutenant James Roy Forrest, from the Unattached List (General List), to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 20th September, 1920.
11TH REGIMENT (TARANAKI RIFLES).
Reserve of Officers.
Lieutenant [Captain, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] Robert Joseph Carter is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, with the rank of Captain, under the provisions of General Headquarters Instructions No. 22, of 20th February, 1920. Dated 25th September, 1920.

2nd Lieutenant [Lieutenant, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] James Alexander McLean Roy, M.C., from the N.Z. Rifle Brigade (Earl of Liverpool’s Own), to be Lieutenant. Dated 25th September, 1920.
16TH (WAIKATO) REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant Robert Vincent Closey to be Lieutenant. Dated 30th September, 1920.
N.Z. RIFLE BRIGADE (EARL OF LIVERPOOL’S OWN).
2nd Lieutenant [Lieutenant, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] James Alexander McLean Roy, M.C., is transferred to the 14th (South Otago) Regiment. Dated 25th September, 1920.
2nd Lieutenant Charles David Brown, M.M., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, under the provisions of General Headquarters Instructions No. 22, of 20th February, 1920. Dated 23rd September, 1920.
2nd Lieutenant Robert McDermott is transferred to the 7th (Wellington West Coast) Regiment. Dated 17th September, 1920.
N.Z. DENTAL CORPS.
Lieutenant James Glendining was appointed part-time Dental Officer to the Dental Section, Dunedin Military Hospital, with the temporary rank of Captain, from the 15th January, 1920, to 30th September, 1920.
N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE.
The undermentioned Staff Nurses to be Sisters :
Catherine Wilson. Dated 22nd September, 1920.
Grace Mowbray. Dated 30th September, 1920.
Sister Jean Macpherson (Temporary Reserve List) is transferred from the Reserve to the Active List. Dated 30th September, 1920.
Sister Ethel Barnes relinquishes her appointment at Cashmere Military Sanatorium. Dated 31st August, 1920.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 83, of 30th September, 1920, relating to Sister Annie Johanna Mackay, A.R.R.C., for the words “Dated 21st September, 1920,” read “Dated 25th June, 1920.”
