proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road ; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 1 rood
37 perches.
Portion of Rangitoto-Tuhua 68r Section 1, Block VIII,
Otanake Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 21108.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49198,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 12th day of October, 1920.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a quarry, and
shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of
the County of Waitomo, as from the date hereinafter men-
tioned ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the thirtieth day of October, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 3 roods
28Β·8 perches.
Being portion of Section 12, Block VII, Mapara Survey
District (Taranaki R.D.).

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49576,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
edged pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government

section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rush-
worth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in
Onewhero Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a
road : 7Β·7 perches.
Portion of Purapura Block, Waiuku East Parish, Block II,
Onewhero Survey District. (S.O. 20801.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49763,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native
Land Act, 1909, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road laid out and taken :
3 acres 0 roods 22 perches.
Being portion of Rangitoto-Tuhua 57B 2, Block V, Totoro
Survey District (Taranaki R.D.).

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49426
(sheet 1), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I,
John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped
the Government road described in the Schedule hereto;
such road being no longer required for the purposes of a
road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Government road hereby
stopped : 1 acre 1 rood 35 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Section 2, Block XVI, Tairua
Survey District. (S.O. 21064.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49160,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 12th day of October, 1920.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of
October, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him
by the Coal-mines Act, 1908, and its amendments, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make
the following additional regulations to the regulation made
under the said Act and its amendments on the twenty-sixth
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of July,
one thousand nine hundred and fifteen ; and doth hereby
declare that the addition to the regulations hereby made
shall be read as part of the said principal regulations, and
shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof
in the New Zealand Gazette.
