on a loan of £1,000 in respect of the Taonui Riding, authorized to be raised by the Kairanga County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of widening and metalling No. 4 Line, Kairanga, the said Kairanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the said riding; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ONE-TREE HILL ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that the One-Tree Hill Road Board, under the powers vested in it by sections 18 and 19 of the Public Works Act, 1908, requires to take for a public road the land described in the Schedule hereto. A plan showing the said land required to be taken is open for inspection at the offices of the said Road Board in Manukau Road, Epsom, Auckland.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, and to send such writing to the said Board within forty days from the date hereof.

Dated at Auckland this 23rd day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

THE SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land situated in the One-Tree Hill Road District, in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing three roods seventeen decimal eight perches, more or less, being, firstly, Lot Number 28 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under Number 2660, being part of Allotment Number 18 of Section Number 11 of the Suburbs of Auckland, of a uniform width of 100 links, and extending from Wapiti Avenue on the north to Allotment Number 19 of said Section Number 11 on the south; and, secondly, portion of Allotment Number 19 of said Section 11 of a uniform width of 100 links. Bounded on the east by the present end of Wheturangi Road, on the south and west by Cornwall Park, on the north by the land firstly described, and by another portion of said Allotment Number 18 to the commencing-point.

MATAKAOA COUNTY COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section 13, Part II, Motor Regulation Act, 1908, public notice is hereby given that the Matakaoa County Council has decided by special resolution that Part II of the above-named Act shall be brought into operation within the County of Matakaoa, and that the date upon which this Part of the Act shall be brought into operation shall be the first day of September, 1920.
