THE following notices, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Kairanga, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Mangaone Riding.—Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Mangaone Riding of the County of Kairanga taken on the 9th day of September, 1920, on the proposal of the Kairanga County Council to borrow the sum of £2,250, for the purpose of renewing culverts and bridges in the Mangaone Riding hereinafter referred to as proposal No. 1; and to borrow the sum of £3,000 for the purpose of erecting workmen’s cottages in the Mangaone Riding, hereinafter referred to as proposal No. 2—
The number of votes recorded for proposal No. 1 was 49, and the number of votes recorded against proposal No. 1 was 11; informal, 2.
I therefore declare proposal No. 1 was carried.
The number of votes recorded for proposal No. 2 was 50, and the number of votes recorded against proposal No. 2 was 12; informal, 1.
I therefore declare proposal No. 2 was carried.
Fitzherbert Riding.—Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Fitzherbert Riding of the County of Kairanga taken on the 9th day of September, 1920, on the proposal of the Kairanga County Council to borrow the sum of £2,250 for the purpose of renewing culverts and bridges in the Fitzherbert Riding, hereinafter referred to as proposal No. 1; to borrow the sum of £450 for the purpose of widening and improving the road approaching the Fitzherbert Bridge, hereinafter referred to as proposal No. 2; and to borrow the sum of £1,200 for the purpose of erecting workmen’s cottages in the Fitzherbert Riding, hereinafter referred to as proposal No. 3—
The number of votes recorded for proposal No. 1 was 40, and the number of votes recorded against proposal No. 1 was 6.
I therefore declare proposal No. 1 was carried.
The number of votes recorded for proposal No. 2 was 41, and the number of votes recorded against proposal No. 2 was 8.
I therefore declare proposal No. 2 was carried.
The number of votes recorded for proposal No. 3 was 41, and the number of votes recorded against proposal No. 3 was 8.
