TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the main roads in the Te Puke Riding of the County of Tauranga, and for quarrying, breaking, carting, carrying, and spreading the metal and preparing the road therefor, the said Tauranga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth (1/6th) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Te Puke Riding, comprising the whole of the Te Puke Riding in the said county; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of regrading and forming the Hurford Road, hereby makes and levies a special rate of one fifth (1/5th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hurford Road Special Rating District, being Sections 114, 78, 92, 101, 35, 36, 37, 80, part 82, 98, 118, part 35, part 31, 33, 3 of 35, 36, 37, part 31, 106, 102, 109, 110, 111, 112, 133, part 30, Sub. 2 of 32, 35, 36, 39, 120, 121, 119, 132, Block 7, Paritutu Survey District; 103, 116, 117, 104, 105, 115, Block I, Egmont Survey District. RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing workers' dwellings, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Kawhia; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 17th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

EDWARD WILLIAM NORTON, formerly called and known by the name of ALFRED JOEL NOBES, of Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland, in New Zealand, Master Mariner, hereby give public notice that I have assumed and from henceforth upon all occasions intend to sign and use and to be called and known by the name of EDWARD WILLIAM NORTON in place of my former name ALFRED JOEL NOBES; and, further, that such intended change of name is formally declared and evidenced by a deed-poll under my hand and seal bearing date the twenty-fourth day of July, 1920, and enrolled in the office at Auckland of the Supreme Court. of New Zealand.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL.

PEERSWICK LOAN SPECIAL RATING AREA.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,900, authorized to be raised by the Waimairi County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of concrete channelling, asphaltng footpaths, grading, and a concrete invert at Peerswiek, in the Middleton Riding in the County of Waimairi, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and fifteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Peerswick Loan Special Rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Description of the Peerswick Loan Special Rating Area.

Comprising all that area of land in the County of Waimairi, Block 10, Christchurch Survey District, being the whole of Rural Section 56 as shown on the plan of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.

The above resolution was unanimously passed at a full meeting of the Council on the 12th day of July, 1920.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Raglan County Council, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road through those pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is further given that the plan of the said roads and of the lands so required to be taken is deposited for public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council at Ngaruawahia, and is thore open
