DESCRIPTION.
Situated about one mile and a half from Dromore Railway-
station. All flat agricultural land in English grass, suitable
for agricultural or pastoral purposes. Loamy soil, on gravel
subsoil. Watered by water-races, and subdivided into pad-
docks. There are no buildings on the settlement.
IMPROVEMENTS.
The improvements that go with the land are as follows:
Section 1, 301 chains boundary and subdivisional fencing,
valued at £120; Section 2, 298 chains boundary and subdi-
visional fencing, valued at £131; Section 3, 394 chains bound-
ary and subdivisional fencing, valued at £222.

Land in the Southland Land District for Sale or Lease to
Discharged Soldiers.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 14th September, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands
are open for sale or lease under the Discharged
Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations there-
under; and applications will be received at the District
Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o'clock p.m.
on Monday, the 15th November, 1920.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred pay-
ments, or selected on lease for sixty-six years, with right of
renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years and a
right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, on Wednesday, the 17th November, 1920, at
10 o'clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examina-
tion of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.-FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Wallace County. Aparima Hundred.
SECTION 22, Block VII: Area, 159 acres 3 roods 21 perches;
capital value, £280; annual instalment on deferred payment
(excluding interest), £14; half-yearly rent on lease, £6 6s.
Section 52, Block III: Area, 208 acres 3 roods 37 perches;
capital value, £620; annual instalment on deferred payment
(excluding interest), £31; half-yearty rent on lease, £13 19s.
Section 25, Block VII: Area, 274 acres 1 rood 27 perches;
capital value, £465; annual instalment on deferred payment
(excluding interest), £23 5s.; half-yearly rent on lease,
£10 9s. 3d.
These sections are situated four to five miles and a half
from Otautau. Road formed to within twenty chains of
Section 22, and gravelled half-way. The access to Section
52 is partly formed for last mile and a half, but all fit for
light wheel traffic. Formed road to within one mile of
Section 25. Until improved acces provided for this section
a right-of-way is reserved through Section 52. All worked-
out bush areas. Undulating to broken, but suitable for
grazing or dairying when cleared. The following burnt
areas have been sown in grass: Sec ion 22, about 30 acres;
Section 52, about 130 acres; and Section 25. about 50 cres.
Tramway rights through these sections are expres-ly
reserved until such time as same are caucelled by the Land
Board.
Section 22 is weighted with £31 4s., valuation for fencing.
Section 25 is weighted with £8, valuation for fencing.
Wallace County.--Jacob's River Hundred.
Section 47, Block VIII: Area, 207 acres 2 roods 31 perches;
capital value. £415; anual instalment on deferred payment
(excluding interest), £20 15s; half-yearly rent on lease,
£9 68. 9d.
Altitude, from 200 ft. to 320 ft. 190 acres undulating, but
ploughable when cleared; about 10 acres fairly level. Soil
generally good; well watered. Suitable for dairying or
pastoral purposes when cleared. Situated two miles trom
Fairfax Formed road to within thirty chains, thence
unformed.
Tramway rights through this section are reserved until
same are cancelled by the Land Board.

Education Reserves in Auckland Land District for Lease
by Public Auction.
District Lands and Surv y Office.
Auckland, 21st August, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the education reserves
described in the Schedule hereto will be offered for
lease by public auction at the local Lands and Survey Office,
Hamilton, at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, 29th Septem-
ber, 1920, under the provisions of the Education Reserves
Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Public Bodies' Leases
Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Town of Hamilton West. Subdivisions of Section 56.
Lot 2: Area, 23 36 perches; upset annual rental, £7 10s.
Lot 3: Area, 28-37 perches; upset annual rental, £10.
These lots are situated close to the Hamilton Post-office;
they front on Hillsborough Terrace, and have also access by
a right-of-way to Grantham Street.
Lot 2 is weighted with valuation for improvements, com-
prising two dwellinghouses of five rooms each, with con-
veniences, washhouses, and fencing; total valuation, £850.
ABSTRACT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Term of lease, twenty-one years, with perpetual right
of renewal for the same term at a rent to be determined by
revaluation in accordance with the provisions of the First
Schedule of the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908. -
Rents payable half-yearly, in advance, to the Receiver
of Land Revenue, Auckland; the first half-yearly payment,
together with lease and registration fee and valuation for
improvements to be made on the fall of the hammer. -
No lease to be assigned, underlet, or the possession
thereof parted with except with the consent of the Land
Board. -
All rates, taxes, charges, and assessments whatsoever to
be paid by the lessee. -
The leases shall be prepared generally in accordance
with the provisions of the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908. -
Interest at the rate of 10 per cent. per annum to be
paid on rent in arrear. -
Consent of the Land Board to be obtained before sub-
dividing, erecting any buildings, or effecting other im-
provements. -
Lease is liable to forfeiture if conditions violated.
