Notice of Change of the Purpose of a Reserve in Te Rapa Parish, Auckland Land District.

WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General, for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was duly set apart for a rifle range, being a purpose within Class II in the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve so set apart:

Now, therefore, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the said reserve is hereby changed from rifle-range purposes to railway purposes. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 79 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 7 and Allotment 9, Te Rapa Parish. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/18, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan 6684, blue.)

Opening Otago University Endowment Reserve in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Otago University Reserves Act, 1904, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the Otago University Endowment Reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease for the term of sixty-six years, with right of renewal for successive periods of sixty-six years, on Monday, the fifteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said endowment reserve shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY.—OTAGO UNIVERSITY ENDOWMENT.

Forest Hill Hundred.

Lot 6, part Section 132, Block III: Area, 999 acres; capital value, £1,875; half-yearly rent, £37 10s.

Some fair quality land at the north end. The whole of the section, with the exception of small gullies and the swamp, is ploughable. Divided into six paddocks by good sheep-proof fences. Access is by good road, with exception of last 60 chains poorly formed and not gravelled. Distant about two miles and a half from Hedgehope. Suitable for grazing. Weighted with £570, valuation for improvements consisting of fencing, cultivation, and hut.

Opening National Endowment Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection by Discharged Soldiers on Renewable Lease.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment land described in the Schedule hereto, which has been set apart for selection by discharged soldiers, shall be open for selection by discharged soldiers on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Whangarei County.—Hukerenui Survey District.—Pukipuki Mining District.

SECTION 16, Block VII: Area, 208 acres; capital value, £525; half-yearly rent, £10 10s.

Weighted with £17 for improvements.

Ten acres rich alluvial flats; 162 acres easy undulating land sloping away from flats, soil of fair quality, covered with strong fern; 36 acres of broken land of fair quality, very well watered by running creeks. About four miles from Whakapara Station by formed vehicle road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 19th day of August, 1920.

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule here:o, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, certain parts of the Imperial Coinage Act, 1870 (as amended by the Coinage Act, 1891), were applied to New Zealand: And whereas by the proviso to subsection two of section one of the Coinage Act, 1920 (10 Geo. 5, Ch. 3), a copy of which Act is set out in the Schedule hereto, it is provided that the provisions of that subsection shall not apply as respects any
