The arrivals during the month of August, 1920, exceeded the departures by 1,700. In the corresponding month of 1919 there was an excess of departures over arrivals of 399.

NOTE.— Figures of arrivals do not include members of Expeditionary Forces.
- It is important to mention that, in the returns from which this table is made up, immigrants to the Dominion are all counted at the first port of arrival, and emigrants at the final port of departure.

Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registration.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Southland Building Trade and General Labourers’, Wool and Grain Store Employees’, Gasworks Employees’, and Drivers’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 782, situated at Invercargill, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 21 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in Otago Land District forfeited.
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 6th September, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Otago Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 19s, Clifton Settlement. Tenure: Renewable Lease (Settlement) 298. Formerly held by Charles Thomas Cameron. Reason for forfeiture: Section abandoned.
