THE following notice, received from the Deputy Mayor of the Borough of Blenheim, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH.
Result of Poll.
The Municipal Corporations Acts, the Rating Acts, the Local Bodies' Loans Acts, and all other enabling Acts.
I HEREBY give notice that the voting at a poll taken in the Town Hall, Blenheim, on the 7th July instant, on a proposal of the Blenheim Borough Council to borrow the sum of £10,000 sterling for the purpose of providing a new gas-holder and for the extension of gas-mains was as follows :
Number of votes recorded for the proposal, 286 ; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 27.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Hamilton, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Hamilton taken on the 26th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Hamilton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the following purposes :—
For additions to the building of the Public Library in Victoria Street, Hamilton : £2,000
For the erection of a public library in that part of the Borough of Hamilton formerly the Borough of Frank-ton : £2,000
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 355, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 150 ; informal, 12 : total number of voters, 517.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Hamilton taken on the 26th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Hamilton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £110,000 for the following purposes :—
For making and constructing drains and drainage-works in the Borough of Hamilton, including the purchase of all necessary land and materials, plant and tools, and all payments for labour, engineers' fees, plans and supervision, and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such drainage works—the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 452, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 64; informal, l : total number of voters, 517.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Sumner, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Sumner was taken on the 7th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Sumner Borough Council to borrow the sum of £11,600 for the purpose of water-supply works and improvements.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 203, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 89.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Redcliffs Public Hall Loan Special Rating Area of the Borough of Sumner was taken on the 7th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Sumner Borough Council to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting a public hall at Redcliffs.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 53, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 131.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Sumner was taken on the 7th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Sumner Borough Council to borrow the sum of £2,100 for the purpose of electric-supply works extension and reconstruction.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 193, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 94.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Red-cliffs Gas Loan Special Rating Area of the Borough of Sumner was taken on the 7th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Sumner Borough Council to borrow the sum of £6,250 for the purpose of providing gas-mains and reticulating plant to supply the Redcliffs portion of the borough with gas.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 78, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 75.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Featherston, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
Kahautara Bridge Loan.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Turanga-nui Riding of the Featherston County taken on the 20th day of August, 1920, on the proposal to raise a loan of £9,000 for the construction of the Kahautara Bridge over the Ruama-hunga River, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 89, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 28 ; informal, 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

MATAU RIVER BOARD.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Loan.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Matau River District taken on Thursday, the 26th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Matau River Board to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of constructing and raising protective banks on the northern side of the Matau River, the number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 56, and the number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
