ELSTOW DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL INTEREST RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Elstow Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a
loan of £500, being ten per centum of the original loan of
£5,000 authorized to be raised by the Elstow Drainage
Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the
purpose of completing drainage-works within the Elstow
No. 2 Special Rating Area of the Elstow Drainage District,
the said Elstow Drainage Board hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one-eighth of one penny in the pound on
the unimproved value of all lands in Class A, one-sixteenth
of one penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all
lands in Class B, and one thirty-second of one penny in the
pound on the unimproved value of all lands in Class C, all of
which classes and the lands therein, as set out on the classi-
fication list and valuation schedule of the Elstow No. 2
Special Rating Area, the boundaries of which are as fol-
lows,——

All that area of land in the Auckland Land District
bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of
the Waihou River at the crossing of the Paeroa-Tahuna
Road; thence along that river to a point in line with the
northernmost corner of Lot 5 of part Section 12, Block XII,
Waitoa Survey District; thence following the north-western
boundary-line of that section to the Stanley Road on its
western side; thence along that road in a southerly direction
to the Te Kawana Road on its northern side; thence following
that road in a westerly direction to a point in line with the
western boundary of Sections 7 and 8, Block XII, Waitoa
Survey District; thence following the said western boundary
to the south-west corner of Section 8 aforesaid; thence
along the south-eastern boundary of that section to the road,
across the road, and along the eastern boundary of Sections
82, 81, 80, 79, 78, and 77, and on across the railway-line to the
eastern boundary of Section 88, Block XII, Waitoa Survey
District, and along same to the road, which along in an
easterly direction to the Stanley Road, and across same to
its eastern side; thence along that road to the south-eastern
corner of the Te Aroha Borough Endowment; thence along
the south-eastern boundary to the river, which along to a
point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 8,
Block XI, Aroha Survey District; thence to and along the
south-eastern boundary of that section to the north-eastern
side of Stanley Road and on to the Cemetery Reserve;
thence along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries
of that reserve to the Stanley Road, and along same to a
point distant fifteen chains from the southernmost corner of
Section 8 aforesaid; thence across the racecourse reserve by
a right line to the eastern corner of Racecourse Road, and
along the northern side of that road to O’Brien’s Road, and
across same following a straight line across Sections 101, 100,
4, and 3 of Block XI, Aroha Survey District, to a point on
Cribb’s Road at the north-western corner of Section 3, Block
XI, Aroha Survey District; thence along a line parallel to
the Thames-Waikato Road across Sections 92A and 92 to the
south-eastern boundary of the said Section 92, which along
to the most northern corner of Section 263, Waihou Town;
thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 263, 262,
257, and 256 of Waihou Town to Taylo’s Road, which along
to Hall Road, and along Hall Road to the Thames-Waikato
Road, which along to a road forming the boundary of Section
9, Waihou Town, in Block XVI, Waitoa Survey District, to
the most southern corner of that section at the Ngutumanga
Road, and along that road to the north-eastern boundary of
the Hungahunga Drainage District as described in the New
Zealand Gazette of the 12th December, 1912, page 3451;
thence following along that boundary to the Waitoa River
on its right bank, which along to the crossing of the Paeroa-
Tahuna Road on its southern side, and along that road to
the Waihou River, the point of commencement.

And that such special rates aforesaid shall be annually
recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the first day of September and the first
day of March in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in

Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,900, authorized to be raised by the
Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of forming and metalling the Waiotira
