HIS Excellency the Administrator of the Government has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force :-
3RD (AUCKLAND) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant Percy Wakeham Smith is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 2nd August, 1920.
Major John Potter (Reserve of Officers) is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of paragraph 126, General Regulations, 1913, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 2nd August, 1920.
6TH (MANAWATU) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant [Captain, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] Thomas Charles Atkinson Hislop is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, with the rank of Captain, under the provisions of General Headquarters Instructions No. 22, of 20th February, 1920. Dated 8th August, 1920.

Results of Polls on Proposals to raise Loans.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Auckland taken on the 4th day of August, 1920, on the proposal of the Auckland City Council to borrow the sum of £500,000 for electric-power extensions in the City of Auckland, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 928, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 392.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Auckland taken on the 4th day of August,
