Appointments, Promotions, Transfers, Resignations, and
Retirements of Officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial
Force.

HIS Excellency the Administrator of the Government
has been pleased to approve of the appointments,
promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of the
undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Terri-
torial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z.
Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.
N.Z. STAFF CORPS.
Major Henry Harwood Browne, M.B.E., is posted to the
Retired List, under the provisions of paragraphs 126 and
127, General Regulations, 1913, with permission to retain
his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 19th
February, 1920.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 61, of 24th June, 1920, relating to Lieutenant
(temp. Captain) George Hansbrow Hume, M.C., for the
words “Dated 4th October, 1920,” read “Dated 5th July,
1920.”
N.Z. ARMY PAY DEPARTMENT.
Captain Joseph Hadfield Westby Sheppard resigns his com-
mission. Dated 19th August, 1920.
N.Z. ARMY MEDICAL DEPARTMENT.
Colonel Percival Clennell Fenwick, C.M.G., M.D., relin-
quishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Medical
Services, Canterbury Military District, and is posted to the
Reserve of Officers (temp.). Dated 1st October, 1920.
Captain Angus McPhee Marshall, M.B., is granted the tem-
porary rank of Major. Dated 1st July, 1920.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) Charles Tennison Salmon resigns his
commission. Dated 27th July, 1920.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
N.Z. Railway Battalions (South Island).
Lieutenant Hector Porteous West is transferred to the Re-
serve of Officers. Dated 30th July, 1920.
N.Z. POST AND TELEGRAPH CORPS.
Sergeant Harold Hubert Harding to be 2nd Lieutenant.

of 1st April, 1920, relating to the retirement of Lieutenant-
Colonel Roy William Cumming, is cancelled, and the following
substituted:—
Lieutenant-Colonel Roy William Cumming is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 26th February, 1920.

Staff Nurse Eileen Mary Mehaffey is posted to the Temporary
