of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

5B. A TELEPHONE exchange connection with a street stand
used by owners of vehicles plying for hire will be made only
on the application and at the charge of the local body con-
trolling the street, the owners of the vehicles making their
own arrangements with the local body for the right to use
the telephone. Only one telephone connection will be per-
mitted with each stand, and each such connection will be
entered in the telephone directory by stating the situation
of the stand and the class of vehicle using it.

Extension of Copyright Act, 1913, to Poland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of
August, 1920.
Present :

His Excellency THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-
seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred
and fourteen, and gazetted on the first day of April then
instant (hereinafter referred to as " the said Order"), the
Copyright Act, 1913, was extended to the foreign countries
therein mentioned, subject to the provisions set out in the
said Order : And whereas it is desired to extend the said
Order to Poland :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by the Copyright Act, 1913, doth hereby
extend the said Order to Poland as if that country were
amongst the foreign countries of the Copyright Union named
in paragraph (1) of the said Order, subject to the following
modifications :-
(1.) The provisions of paragraph (2), proviso (iii) (a), of the
said Order shall apply as if Poland were included amongst
the foreign countries named in those provisions.
(2.) In the application of the provisions of paragraph (3)
of the said Order to works of which the country of origin is
Poland, the commencement of this Order shall be substituted
for the commencement of the said Act and for the commence-
ment of the said Order.
(3.) In the application to such works of sections 3 (2) (d)
and 25 of the Copyright Act, 1913, the commencement of this
Order shall be substituted for the commencement of the said
Act in section 25 (7) and 25 (8) wherever that expression
occurs.
(4.) In the application to such works of the provisions of
sections 3 (2) (d) and 32 of the Copyright Act, 1913, the com-
mencement of this Order shall be substituted for the com-
mencement of the said Act wherever that expression occurs
in subsection (1) (a), and for the 1st July, 1913, in subsec-
tion (1) (b).
This Order shall come into operation on the ninth day
of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, which
date is in this Order referred to as the commencement of this
Order.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c.,
County of Wairoa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of
August, 1920.
Present :

His Excellency THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the pre-
paration of the rolls for the County of Wairoa,
and the taking of certain steps consequent on such pre-
paration, cannot be made and taken within the times
mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient
to extend the said times respectively :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said
Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned
in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking
the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the defaulters list and the rolls for the
    ridings within the County of Wairoa: Until the 27th day
    of August, 1920.
  2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for
    inspection : From the 31st day of August, 1920, to the 19th
    day of September, 1920.
  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls : Until the 27th
    day of September, 1920.
  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with
    reference to the said rolls, and adjourn : Until the 4th day
    of October, 1920.
  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected
    and signed, shall come into force : On the 11th day of
    October, 1920.

said times respectively :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursu-
ance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the
said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby order and declare that the several dates men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates
for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the rolls for the ridings within the County
    of Franklin : Until the 23rd day of August, 1920.
  2. Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection :
    From the 27th day of August, 1920, to the 15th day of
    September, 1920.
  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls : Until the 22nd
    day of September, 1920.
  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with
    reference to the said rolls, and adjourn : Until the 29th day
    of September, 1920.
  5. Time when the said rolls, having been corrected and
    signed, shall come into force : On the 6th day of October, 1920.
