A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section thirty-four of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, and section two of the State Forests Amendment Act, 1919, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the national-endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto as and for provisional State forests.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area of land in the Westland Land District, situate in Blocks IX and X, Ahaura Survey District, being Reserve 1599, containing 3,450 acres, more or less. Bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Block X, Ahaura Survey District; thence due north along the eastern boundary of said block for a distance of 60 chains; thence due west to the left bank of the left-hand branch of Nelson Creek; thence generally in a north-westerly direction, following along the left-hand bank of aforesaid left-hand branch of Nelson Creek, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Ahaura Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of aforesaid Section 1 to the north-westerly boundary of Section 2, Block IX, Ahaura Survey District; thence along the north-western boundary of aforesaid Section 2 to its most northern corner; thence in a south-easterly direction along the eastern boundaries of Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block IX, Ahaura Survey District, to the most easterly corner of aforesaid section 4; thence following along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Section 3178, Block IX, Ahaura Survey District, to a point on the right bank of Nelson Creek in line with the southern boundary of the aforesaid Section 3178; thence generally in a southerly direction, following along the right bank of aforesaid Nelson Creek, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2947, Blocks IX and XIII, Ahaura Survey District; thence following along the northern and eastern boundaries of aforesaid Section 2947 to a point on the south boundary of Block IX,

Ahaura Survey District; and thence due east along the south boundaries of Blocks IX and X, Ahaura Survey District, to point of commencement. As the same is delineated on sheet 47, roll plan 450, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Forestry, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

All that area of land in the Westland Land District, situate in Blocks XIII and XIV, Mawheranui Survey District, and Blocks IX and XIII, Ahaura Survey District, being Reserve 1701, containing 14,250 acres, more or less. Bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Block XV, Mawheranui Survey District; thence due north along the eastern boundary of said Block XV, Mawheranui Survey District, for a distance of 160 chains; thence due east for a distance of 70 chains; thence due south for a distance of 160 chains to the southern boundary of Block XIII, Ahaura Survey District; thence due east along the southern boundary of aforesaid Block XIII, Ahaura Survey District, to the western boundary of Section 3215, Block XIII, Ahaura Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction along the western boundaries of Sections 3215, 3214, and 3213, Block XIII, Ahaura Survey District, to the most westerly corner of aforesaid Section 3213; thence along the northern boundary of aforesaid Section 3213 to the Taramakau-Grey Valley Road; thence generally in a north-westerly direction along the south-western side of said Taramakau-Grey Valley Road to the most westerly corner of Section 3238, Block XII, Mawheranui Survey District; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of aforesaid Section 3238 to the western boundary of Block IX, Ahaura Survey District; thence due south along the western boundary of aforesaid Block IX, Ahaura Survey District, to its south-western corner; thence due west along the southern boundaries of Blocks XII, XI, and X, Mawheranui Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of Section 2725, Block XIII Mawheranui Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of aforesaid Section 2725 to No Town Track; thence generally in a south-easterly direction along the northern side of said No Town Track and the eastern boundaries of Section 2733A, 2735, 2737, and 2739, Block XIV, Mawheranui Survey District, to the southern boundary of Block XIV, Mawheranui Survey District; and thence due east along the southern boundaries of aforesaid Blocks XIV and XV, Mawheranui Survey District, to point of commencement. As the same is delineated on sheet 47, roll plan 450, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Forestry, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

All that area of land in Blocks IV, VIII, XII, Ahaura Survey District, and Blocks I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and XIII, Pohaturoa Survey District, in the Westland
