Commonwealth of Australia, hereby gives notice, in accordance with the Companies Act, 1908, by its attorney in New
Zealand, William Edmund Jackson, of Wellington, in New
Zealand, Accountant, that the said company proposes to
and will commence and carry on business at its office or

Export Company (Limited) intends to carry on business
in the Dominion of New Zealand, and that the office of
the company where legal proceedings or notices may be
served upon it is at Room 7, Colonial Carrying Company's
Building, Customhouse Quay, in the City of Wellington.

PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Papakura Town Board hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of two thousand pounds, authorized to be
raised by the Papakura Town Board, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purchase of the surrender of the
lease held by Messrs. Blank and Davis over a portion of the
Board's endowments and the improvements thereon, a part
to be used for a public park and recreation-ground and the
remainder to be leased in sections, the Papakura Town
Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of
a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Papakura Town District, comprising the
whole of such district ; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the
first day of December in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 230
of the Companies Act, 1908, a general meeting of
JONES AND McGREGOR (LIMITED), in voluntary liquidation,
will be held at the office of the Bull's Town Board, Bull's,
on Friday, 6th August, 1920, at 3 o'clock p.m., for the
purpose of having laid before the meeting the account of the
Liquidator showing the manner in which the winding-up
has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing an explanation thereof given by
the Liquidator. The company will be asked to declare
by extraordinary resolution how the books, accounts, and
documents of the company and the Liquidator are to be
disposed of.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public
Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely,
the closing of a road and the construction of a new road in
lieu thereof; and for the purposes of such public work the
lands described in the first part of the Schedule hereto are
required to be taken ; and that portion of a road, being the
land described in the second part of the Schedule hereto, is
required to be stopped.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands
so required to be taken and of that portion of the road so
proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the
Clerk to the said Council, situate in Taupiri Street, and is
open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during
ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land, or by the stopping of such
part of a road, who have any well-grounded objections to
the execution of such public work or to the taking of the
said land, or to the stopping of such road, must state their
objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk
at the Council Chambers.
