THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

TE AWAMUTU ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board District taken on the 30th day of June, 1920, on the proposal of the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board to borrow the sum of £120,000 for—
(1.) Purchase of yards and offices, and equipment of same with plant, tools, &c., and the payment of initial expenses: £8,000
(2.) Construction under license and Order in Council of electric transmission and reticulating lines within the power district: £104,000
(3.) Payment of the first year’s interest and sinking fund, and expenses of raising the loan: £8,000
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 359, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Tokatoka Riding of the Otamatea County was taken on the 30th day of June, 1920, on the proposal of the Otamatea County Council to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the purpose of the metalling and the general improvement of the roads in the Tokatoka Riding of the Otamatea County. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 44, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 23. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried. Dated at Paparoa this 7th day of July, 1920.

Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Mahoenui, Puketiti, and Mangaohae Ridings of the County of Awakino taken on the 3rd day of July, 1920, on the proposal of the Awakino County Council to borrow the sum of £6,000 for the purpose of purchasing road-making, quarrying, and stone-breaking machinery, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 54, the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 45, and the number of informal votes recorded was 4. I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected. Dated at Piopio this 9th day of July, 1920.
