I, ROBERT EDWARD HAYES, Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Te Ringa Farmers’ Association (Incorporated) is no longer carrying on its operations and has no assets, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved, in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given that a surrender of the lease of the undermentioned land having been accepted by a resolution of the Canterbury Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land and the drill-shed thereon will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, at 11.30 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 23rd August, 1920, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and its amendments, and section 75 of the Defence Amendment Act, 1912.

SCHEDULE.

TOWN OF NEW PLYMOUTH.

PARTS of Sections 845, 859, and 860: Area, 24·6 perches; upset price, £1,700 (including buildings).

Situated on the corner of Gill and Kawau Streets, and known as the old drill-hall site. From its proximity to the railway-station and yards and main thoroughfares of the borough it is valuable as a site for warehouse, store, or factory.

TERMS OF SALE.

One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter; otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.

Titles will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1908. Full particulars may be obtained at this office.

Land in the Southland Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.

District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 13th September, 1920.

The land may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Wednesday, the 15th September, 1920, at 10 o’clock a.m.

The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Maori Hill Settlement.—Wallace County.—Waiau Survey District.

SECTION 10, Block XI: Area, 245 acres 1 rood 24 perches; capital value, £1,960; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £98; half-yearly rent on lease, £44 2s.

Altitude, 150 ft. to 360 ft. above sea-level. The greater part of the section is hilly, but not steep or broken, except in a few places. Suitable for grazing. Frontage to Orawia-Tuatapere Road, and distant six miles and a half from Tuatapere Railway-station by good gravelled road, and three miles from Orawia.

IMPROVEMENTS.

The improvements which go with the land consist of fencing valued at £57 2s. 6d.

The improvements which do not go with the land, but which must be paid for separately, comprise half cost of 74 chains of rabbit-proof fence on south part of east boundary, valued at £40 17s. 3d., or this may be treated as an advance. The hut opposite Section 3 (school reserve) will be removed from Section 10.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase of the undermentioned milling-timber will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 25th August, 1920.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

PARTS of Lot 2, plan 83/38, being parts of Section 28, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District.

Comprising all the fallen timber on the parcels of land, containing approximately 15 acres and 4 acres, as shown on the plan endorsed hereon: Rimu, 745,200 sup. feet; matai, 77,000 sup. feet; kahikatea, 258,500 sup. feet — total, 1,080,700 sup. feet.

Upset price, £1,620.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.

  1. Intending purchasers are expected to visit the locality and to satisfy themselves in every particular on all matters relating to the sale.

  2. The aforementioned quantities of timber shall be taken as sufficiently accurate for the purpose of this sale, and no contract for purchase shall be voidable, nor shall the purchaser be entitled to any abatement in price, by reason of
