GORDON AND GOTCH (AUSTRALASIA), LIMITED, whose registered office is situate at Nos. 124 and 126 Queen Street, Melbourne, in the State of Victoria, in the Commonwealth of Australia, hereby gives notice, in accordance with the Companies Act, 1908, by its attorney in New Zealand, William Edmund Jackson, of Wellington, in New Zealand, Accountant, that the said company proposes to and will commence and carry on business at its office or place of business at No. 13 Cuba Street, in the City of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, where legal process and notices of any kind may be addressed or delivered. KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
KAHUTERAWA BRIDGE LOAN OF £650.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) thereunto enabling, the Kairanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Kairanga County Council Kahuterawa Bridge Loan of £650, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Kahuterawa Stream, Fitzherbert West, the said Kairanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-sixteenths (11/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kahuterawa Special Rating District within the Kairanga County, commencing at the north-east corner of Section 306, Block VII, Arawaru Survey District, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction by the eastern boundaries of the said Section 306 and Sections 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, and 312, and Sections 313 and 314 of Block VIII, Arawaru Survey District, and for a distance of 20 chains along the eastern boundary of Section 315 to junction with original county boundary; thence in a north-westerly direction by said county boundary to point of junction with west boundary of Section 317, 38 chains distance from junction of said boundary with Kahuterawa Road; thence in a north-westerly direction by the said section boundary and across said road and by south-eastern boundary of Section 322, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District; thence by north-western boundary of said section and Sections 323 and 324; thence in a northerly direction by north-west boundaries of Sections 325, 326, 327, 328, 329, 330, 331, 332, Block VII, Arawaru Survey District; thence by north boundary of Section 284, Block III, Arawaru Survey District; thence in a southerly direction by eastern boundary of said Section 284 and Section 305 to junction of north-west boundary of Section 306, Block VII, Arawaru Survey District; thence in an easterly direction by north boundary of Section 306 to point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION LEVYING A BRIDGE RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and authorized to be made and levied by a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Waimarino taken on the 19th day of August, 1918, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves to make and levy a bridge rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound sterling upon the capital value of all rateable property as appearing upon the valuation rolls for the time being in force for the several ridings constituting the County of Waimarino, for the purpose of reconstruction and renewal of any bridge or bridges, exceeding thirty feet in span, which may from
