Alteration of Boundaries, Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to section ten of the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act 1900 Amendment Act, 1902 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board has requested the Governor-General to declare by Proclamation that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall form part of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage District (hereinafter referred to as “the said district”) :
And whereas the Governor-General is satisfied that the inclusion of such area within the said district will prove beneficial to the inhabitants and the owners of property therein :
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the requisition of the said Board :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that on and from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be included in and form part of the said district.

SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north-west generally by the south-eastern side of Beach Road to Portobello, from its junction with Anderson’s Bay Road to the south-western boundary of the western part of the area described as Portobello Road District in the New Zealand Gazette of the 30th April, 1883, page 545, across the said Beach Road to high-water mark of Otago Harbour; thence by Otago Harbour and Anderson’s Bay to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Original Section 12, Block V, Anderson’s Bay Survey District; thence to and by the north-western boundary of that section, across a closed road, and by the north-western boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block V aforesaid, through the Townships of Vauxhall, Grant’s Braes, and Waverley, to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the Township of Waverley; thence towards the north-east by the southern side of the last-mentioned road and its production in a south-easterly direction to the middle of Portobello Road; thence towards the east generally by a line along the middle of the said Portobello Road to Original Section No. 2, Block VII, Anderson’s Bay Survey District; thence by the north-eastern boundaries of Original Sections Nos. 2 and 3, Block VII aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by Original Sections Nos. 4, 5, and 6, Block VII aforesaid, to the Tomahawk Lagoon; thence by the said Tomahawk Lagoon to the Tomahawk District Road; thence towards the south generally by the northern side of the said Tomahawk District Road and the Tahuna Road to the boundary of the Borough of St. Kilda, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 50, of the 28th August, 1885; thence by the said Borough of St. Kilda to the Ocean Beach Railway; thence by the said Ocean Beach Railway, across Anderson’s Bay Road, and by the northern side of the said Anderson’s Bay Road to Beach Road to Portobello, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.
