Portion of Street proclaimed as closed in the City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners of the land adjoining the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Wellington City Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as closed the portion of street in the City of Wellington described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the portion of street closed: 0·44 perches.
Originally part of Section 186 (Town of Wellington), situated in the City of Wellington.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47381, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Te Araroa Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of June, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventeenth day of that month, a Domain Board was appointed to control the above domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed has expired;

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

EVERARD HANNAM HENDERSON,
THOMAS MCLACHLAN,
CARL LUDVIG HANSEN, and
GEORGE MCKENZIE MCKEDDIE

to be the Te Araroa Domain Board, as from the thirteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, having the control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the commercial room of the hotel, Te Araroa, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

TE ARAROA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section 21, Te Araroa Native Township. Bounded on the west by Section 20 of the said township, 885 links; on the north by section 12 of the said township, 1130 links; on the east by Section 22 of the said township, 885 links; and on the south by Pohutu Road, 1130 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1092/8A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Portion of Makopua Road, in the Rangitikei County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of June, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as the Makopua Road, commencing at a point between Section 4, Block V, and Section 5, Block I, Ruahine Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction, adjoining or passing through the said Sections 4 and 5, and terminating at a point opposite the eastern boundary of the said Section 5, Block I, Ruahine Survey District; being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48688, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of Paraheka Road, in the Ohura County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of June, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Paraheka Road, in the Taranaki Land District, Ohura County, commencing at the boundary of Waimomo and Ohura Counties, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction, adjoining or passing through 5B Section 2, Block I, Aria Survey District, Block II, Mokau Survey District, and alongside the Mokau River in the said Block II, Mokau Survey District, to its junction with the Mangamahoe Road in the said Block II; being a distance of 2 miles 70 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48637, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and marked C-D.
