more or less, and passing in, into, through, or over the fol-
lowing lands, &c.β€”viz., the said Section 212, Section 211,
Block VI; Sections 38A, 37B, 37A, 20, and 182, all in Block III;
Sections 90, 183, 184, and 34, all in Block II; and Section 9,
Block I; all in the Survey District of Wairo; and Section 16,
Block XXV, Survey District of Wairaki; and terminating
at a point in the said Section 9 marked 11 miles 67 chains:
including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves,
roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.

In the Southland Land District; as the same is delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 47931, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District.

Appointing Members of Assessment Court under the Valuation
of Land Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth
day of May, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1908,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint the persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto to
be members of the Assessment Court for the districts set
opposite their names.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan proposed to be raised by
the Patea Harbour Board.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this first day of
June, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty, subsection one, of the
Finance Act, 1919, it is provided that, notwith-
standing any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful
or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour
Board to borrow or contract to borrow any money (other-
wise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its
powers, if any, in that behalf), whether from the State
Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and
whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other
authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the
Governor-General in Council:

And whereas application has been made for the consent of
the Governor-General in Council to enable the Patea Harbour
Board to borrow the sum of eight thousand six hundred
pounds:

And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of
the Governor-General in Council should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loan of eight thou-
sand six hundred pounds by the Patea Harbour Board, pro-
vided that the rate of interest at which the loan is to be
raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceed-
ing five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it
is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under
the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and
shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General
in Council to the raising of the loan hereby authorized.
