ERECTON OF TEMPORARY DOLPHIN, AUCKLAND HARBOUR.

Wellington, N.Z., 25th May, 1920.

THE Auckland Harbour Board has notified the Marine Department that a temporary dolphin of three wooden piles is to be erected in connection with the reclamation works in Mechanics Bay. The dolphin will bear 8° (N. 7¼° W. mag.) 512 ft. from the north-west corner of Parnell Wharf.

MINE WARNING.

MASTERS of vessels bound to Australia are hereby warned that an object resembling a floating mine was sighted by the master of the s.s. “Dundula” on the 24th instant, in approximately latitude 36° 16′ S., longitude 150° 33′ E.
