Notice of Change of the Purpose of a Reserve in Block X,
Waitapu Survey District, Nelson Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the
said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of
any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-
General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the
Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for
which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
is a reserve duly set apart for telegraph purposes, being a
purpose within Class II in the Second Schedule to the said
Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the
purpose of such reserve so set apart:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred
on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare
that the purpose of the said reserve is hereby changed from
telegraph purposes to a site for a public hall. And I do
hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to
the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take
effect according to the provisions of that section.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, and being part of
Section 18 of the Takaka Original District, in Block X,
Waitapu Survey District. Commencing at a point on the
eastern side of Commercial Road and distant 416 links from
its intersection with the north-western boundary of the said
Section 18, and having a frontage to the said road of 100 links
by a depth of 250 links at right angles thereto; be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on
the plan marked L. and S. 22/2625, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this twentieth day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty.

Land set apart as a Municipal Endowment in the Town of
Ohura, Taranaki Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Land Act, 1908
(hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided
that the reserves to be made by the Governor for any existing
borough or town district under that section shall be made
only in cases where reserves for the same purpose do not
exist therein, or, if existing, do not equal or exceed the
amount of reserves authorized to be made under section
fifteen of the said Act:
And whereas the existing municipal reserves in the Town
District of Ohura do not equal the amount of such reserves
authorized by the said section fifteen, and it is deemed expedient
to make the reserve hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby declare that
the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be and the
same is hereby reserved as an endowment or for the use of
the Town District of Ohura as constituted by Proclamation
dated the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred
and eighteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 12, of the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine
hundred and nineteen.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 13,
Block VIII, Town of Ohura. Bounded towards the north
by Section 12, Block VIII aforesaid, 250·06 links; towards
the east by Section 3, Block VIII aforesaid, 100·01 links;
towards the south by Section 14, Block VIII aforesaid,
250·06 links; and towards the west by Huia Street, 100
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same
is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/246, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this twenty-second day of May, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Notifying Land in Canterbury Land District for Sale by
Public Auction.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the
Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-third
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, as the
time at which the land's described in the Schedule hereto
shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the
prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned
in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—MACKENZIE COUNTY.
TEKAPO VILLAGE.
SECTIONS 1, 2, 4, and 5, Block I: Area of each section,
1 acre; upset price, £10 each.
Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block I: Area of each section,
1 acre; upset price, £7 10s. each.
Section 7, Block II: Area, 1 acre; upset price, £10.
Sections 9 and 10, Block II: Area of each section, 1 acre;
upset price, £7 10s. each.
Tekapo Village is situated at the southern end of Lake
Tekapo, on the eastern side of the Tekapo River. It is
distant twenty-six miles from Fairlie Township and railway-
station, and fronts upon the main road from Fairlie to Mount
Cook Hermitage, being connected with both places by motor-
car service. The position of the village on the shore of Lake
Tekapo, which extends for eighteen miles into the middle of
the mountains, the high altitude (2,360 ft. above sea-level),
the dry and bracing climate, the magnificent view, and the
proximity to mountain and glacier scenery, all combine to
render the village admirably adapted for a week-end holiday
resort for town residents and others.

General, this twenty-first day of May, one thousand
sand nine hundred and twenty.

Opening Land in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur
William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received
the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided
by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do
hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the
twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty; and also that the land mentioned in the said
Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased
for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase,
or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the
prices at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or
leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do
declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased
under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Rotorua County.—Rotoma Survey District.
SECTION IA, Block II: Area, 616 acres. Capital value,
£460. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent,
£11 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £9 4s.
Weighted with value of improvements (£21) for thirty
chains internal fencing.
Altitude, 700 ft. to 1,000 ft. above sea-level, and distant
about fourteen miles and a half by road from Matata. The
section comprises about 20 acres mixed bush, with thick
