Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of May, 1920.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted, on the recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908:
And whereas the Land Board of the North Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of the Otaika Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2 described in the Schedule hereto be excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the portion of the Otaika Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2 described in the Schedule hereto shall, from the twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks IV and VI, Tangihua Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 1,528 acres, more or less, being the Otaika Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 79, of the 28th September, 1899, page 1837, excepting Sections 139 and 145, both of the Parish of Maungatapere, and an area of 360 acres, which have been withdrawn from the reserve. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/4/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section 30, Block VII, Piako Survey District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less. Bounded commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 12 of the said Block VII; towards the south-east by the said Section 12, 967·6 links; and towards the west, north-west, north, and north-east by a public road, 374, 153·8, 238·6, 345·5, 207·4, and 470·3 links to the place of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/252, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan No. 18898.) For a site for a public school.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section 7, Block VI, Marakopa Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by the Kinohaku West Block 2B Section 4A and 2B No. 3, 800 links; towards the east by the said Kinohaku West 2B No. 3, 249·8 links; towards the south by the aforesaid Kinohaku West Block 2B No. 3 and 2B Section No. 4A, 800 links, to Rauparaha Street; and towards the west by the said Rauparaha Street, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/242, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan No. 18523.) For a site for a public school.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section 4, Block V, Putaruru Village, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 0 roods 30 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 3 of the aforesaid Block V, 1000 links; towards the south-east by Section 99, Block VI, Patetere North Survey District, 264·3 links; towards the south by Sections 5 and 6 of the aforesaid Block V, 1046·2 links; and towards the west by a public road, 572·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/7/53, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan 13675, blue). For a site for a police-station.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section 20s, Block X, Taramarama Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 7s, 639·9 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 757·8 links; towards the south-west by a school-site, 303·9 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 875·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/218, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For an addition to a site for a public school.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, situated in Block X, Waipawa Survey District, being a portion of Section 156, Awhea Block, and being Section No. 13s, Tuturumuri Settlement, on the plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington as No. 112/6. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and marked L. and S. 6/3/164, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a post-office.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.
