Partial Revocation of an Order in Council under Section 296
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth
day of May, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and ninety-six of
the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any
Order in Council made under Part XVI of that Act, or under
Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, may be
at any time revoked, either wholly or as to any part or parts
of the land included therein, by the Governor-General by
Order in Council :

And whereas the block or parcel of land known as Tutuo-
tekaha No. 1B No. 1 became subject, by virtue of an Order
in Council dated the eighteenth day of February, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eight, to the provisions of Part XVI
of the Native Land Act, 1909 :

And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board
has recommended that such land be no longer subject to
Part XVI aforesaid :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby revoke the said Order in Council dated the eighteenth
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight, in so
far as such Order in Council affects Tutuotekaha No. 1B No. 1.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than
Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth
day of May, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this
Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified
in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the
Crown.

SCHEDULE.

PUKETAPU Block: Approximate area, 35,000 acres; Tuhua,
Piopiotea, Puketapu, and Maungaku Survey Districts.

Prohibiting the Exportation of Kauri-gum which has been in
any Manner adulterated or mixed with other Gum.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of May, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Customs Act,
1913, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from
time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, prohibit the
exportation of any goods the prohibition of the exportation
of which is in his opinion necessary for the prevention of
fraud or deception :

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it
is necessary for the prevention of fraud or deception that the
exportation of kauri-gum which has been in any manner
adulterated or mixed with other gum should be prohibited :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section
forty-seven of the Customs Act, 1913, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
that Dominion, doth hereby prohibit the exportation of kauri-
gum which has been in any manner adulterated or mixed with
other gum.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum
Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth
day of May, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Go-
vernor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted, on the
recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land
comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be
specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum
Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified
the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to
the provisions of the Land Act, 1908 :

And whereas the Land Board of the North Auckland Land
District has duly passed a resolution recommending that
the portion of the Otaika Kauri-gum Reserve described
in the Schedule hereto be excepted from the operations of
the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give
effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and autho-
rity conferred upon me by section forty-six of the Land
Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the portion of
the Otaika Kauri-gum Reserve described in the Schedule
hereto shall, from the twenty-seventh day of May, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty, cease to be subject to the
Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated
in Blocks XV and XVI, Purua, and Blocks IV and VI, Tangi-
hua Survey Districts, and containing by admeasurement
590 acres, more or less, being the Otaika Kauri-gum Reserve
as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 93, of 21st De-
cember, 1898; page 2075, excepting part of Section 143, Parish
of Maungatapere, which has been withdrawn from the reserve.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/4/9A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
