and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Marae Road, in the Auckland Land District, Awakino County, commencing at its junction with the Waitomo County boundary, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction, adjoining or passing through Kinohaku West “S” Block, Block XV, Kawhia South Survey District, and terminating on the eastern boundary of the said Kinohaku West “S” Block ; being a distance of twenty-four chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48636, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and marked C-D.

Declaring Portion of the Tongaporutu–Mangaroa Road, in the Ohura County, to be a County Road.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of May, 1920.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the Tongaporutu–Mangaroa Road, in the Taranaki Land District, Ohura County, commencing at its junction with the existing road at a point about thirty chains west of the boundary of Sections 1 and 2, Block 8, Waro Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction, adjoining or passing through part of the said Section 1 and Section 7, Block 7, Waro Survey District, a point about ten chains east of the boundary between the said Section 7 and Section 6, Block 7, Waro Survey District ; being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48438, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of Piriaka Road, in the Kaitieke County, to be a County Road.

ALL that portion of the Piriaka Road, in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, commencing at its junction with the Taumarunui–Owhango main south road at a point in Section 6F, Block V, Hunua District, a little south of Piriaka Township, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction, adjoining or passing through the said Section 6F, Sections 6E, 6C, and 6B, Block V, Hunua District, to a point on the boundary between the said Section 6B and Crown land, Block II, Hunua Survey District, about twenty-five chains west of the boundary between the said Sections 6C and 6B, Block V, Hunua District ; being a distance of 1 mile 64 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48573, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

ALL that portion of the Hauturu Road, in the Auckland Land District, commencing at its junction with the Pirongia–Kawhia Road at the eastern corner of Section 5, Block X, Pirongia Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction, adjoining or passing through the said Section 5, Sections 1 and 2, Block X, Pirongia Survey District, Sections 1, 2, Tapuaehounuku No. 2B, and Crown lands section, Block XIII, Pirongia Survey District, and terminating on the western boundary of the said Crown lands section at the junction of the Kaimanga Road ; being a distance of 5 miles 24 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48223, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B.

Portion of the Thames Coromandel Main Road exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of May, 1920.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor-General in Council :
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor-General, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose :
And whereas the Thames County Council, being the local authority having control of the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto, has passed the following resolution—viz., “At a meeting of the Thames County Council held on the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, it was by resolution of such Council declared that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, should not apply to that portion of the Thames County main road which lies between the western side of the land shown on this plan and high-water mark” :
